No it shouldn't have. Sara-Maude's jumps were fully rotated and she sold the hell out of that program. Kaiya had several UR's that were not counted. This is exactly the right result.

Now that’s some good classical skating. I hope she can stay on the podium with that. I think she’ll have the PCS advantage, but that fall may have done it.

I really do not like Katherine's dress. It's giving off a Peggy Fleming vibe (albeit in navy blue rather than chartreuse), but there's something about her posture - her shoulders are a bit hunched - that this dress really accentuates.

I think there were enough errors that she's going behind Kaiya, but who knows with these judges.

Nice program, though a bit of a spell-killer to fall on the final jump that late in the proceedings.

I wish Medland Spence could control her landings a little bit, but her jumps looked cleaner than Dupuis to my eyes. But sitting down on that triple loop at the end means she'll go behind, at least with the lack of calls for Dupuis.

Hoping that by starting this program now, by the Olympics there will be more choreography & nuances - she's skating thru some of the best parts of the music at the moment.

The music and the dress are not my cup of tea, but I'm happy they work for her.

Great program, Maddie, but for heaven's sake take that ghastly costume out and burn it. That thing would be too cutesy-poo for a novice skater.

Maddie with some late mistakes, but this program is Olympic worthy. More than enough to capture the title again. The women were really high level today, the best women's nationals I've seen in quite some time.

Some minor errors, but more than enough to win, and considering she's debuting a new program, I'd say that went quite well.

Too bad Schizas couldn't keep it together, but I'm shocked her TES is barely above Sara Maude Dupuis..... Weird calling in this event.
