i'll be honest I don't have a problem with a skater like deanna not hiding her disappointment like why should she have to? she's not happy. As long as she's not taking it out on her partner i see no issue with it.

Honestly, it’s habitual, everywhere she goes even when she wins constant gold medals. I just don’t think it’s appropriate as adult behavior but oh well.

Deanna is not cursing or dissing the judges, she is simply not smiling or happy. This unhappiness was about their performance not being up to what they can do when healthy and fully trained. I love it - it's genuine and appropriate.

I have no problem with Deanna wearing her heart on her sleeve. This sport desperately needs personalities. We need people that get people, especially casual fans, talking - love or loathe. Someone needs to do a video of all of Deanna's kiss n cry reactions. It'd be amazing.

I am not a fan either BUT one of my real pet peeves is ugly lift positions that get loads of points. Deanna and Max don't have any of those. In fact Deanna's beautiful lift positions are my absolute favourites.

In answer to the question about Jean-Michel Bombardier's partners, Wikipedia lists 3 - Marie-Josée Fortin, Stacey Ball and Michelle Menzies. I'm not sure I remember the first one but I definitely remember the other two. Jean-Michel & Michelle were 2-time Canadian champions. Jean- Michel competed at Worlds once with Stacy and three times with Michelle, always finishing in the top 10. Wikipedia does not list any Olympic appearances so I might be wrong about that.

Bravo to Lia and Trennt! That’s probably the most cohesive they’ve looked as a team. Shame about the throw fall, but the FS victory was well-deserved.

Kelly-Ann and Loucas are adorable, especially her. No notes.

I have zero issue with Deanna being an open book. But by the medals ceremony, her sustained frosty attitude was starting to feel a little silly. A win is a win, and I’m sure they’ll come back stronger by Worlds.

From where I was sitting, Deanna wasn't in a bad mood during the medals - I'm pretty sure she was just very cold. They went from skating a long program, to mixed zone, to medals without getting a chance to cool down or put on a sweater in that rink (which is quite cold at ice level, as far as Nationals venues go).
