The 6th spot feels almost impossible to predict (I think R/A are likely to get the 5th spot). Z/K will get no better than 3rd at Finlandia, L/L can potentially get 2nd at Skate America (though they can also get lower if CPom skates well or if L/B will somehow sneak in), and L/B can get it if they get on the podium at Skate America. G/F I think, are out of the running given their low score and 4th place finish, unless they have a very strong win at NHK. One of the hardest seasons to predict in recent years.

Lol. I love how, sight unseen, the Shibs aren't included in this poll at all.

And DavSmo, who finished FIFTH at their 1st GP are included over CarPon, who almost certainly are slotted in for 2nd at SkAm.

Lajoie and Lopareva have sb higher than CarPom fyi
But SB doesn't matter for the GPF - it starts with points and then, in the case of a tiebreaker, total points scored at both GP assignments.

Say LopBri beat LajLag for the bronze at SkAm with CarPon winning silver - that effectively knocks BOTH LajLag and LopBri out of the GPF with ZingKol, GuigFab and CarPon vying for a spot based on 2nd & 4th place finishes at their GPs respectively.

And that's not even taking into consideration the fact that we haven't seen what the Shibs look like yet, so who knows if GuigFab can pull off a 2nd place finish this week.

What I was saying is that CarPom are not a slam dunk for a silver at skam as you say, since there's two other teams capable of beating them
CarPon are at least as certain of silver at SkAm as LajLag were to beat them going into SCI this past weekend. Which is to say, let's be real. The USFS isn't going to let them get screwed, if everyone is clean. They're all relatively evenly matched despite questionable tech panel calls.

As far as I know, Boston was the only time CPom have beaten LaLa. The latter are simply technically better (and better than other teams that outscore them, for that matter.) So CPom have home field advantage but unless that FD shows much progress, I don’t see them as favorites for silver.

Last year Smart scrambled the rankings and it’s R/A’s turn this year. The Shibs are a giant question mark. I’m betting in more surprises, including the possibility that that packed field at Finlandia yields at least one unexpected Finals qualifier.
