Here is a thread to gather informations on the current season of solo ice dance and to get to know what's actually organized by the ISU and locally by the federations.

Maria Olszewska Memorial in Lodz, Poland will also have solo dance (like the past 2 years). Announcement should come out in a few days.

Of note, France has a tournament of solo ice dance competitions, which is the same than its tournament of couple ice dance competitions, from october to march. Some kids (Villard + Brive have an agreement for their kids to train together in couple ice dance on holidays) even do both, skating 4 programs per competition.

There are currently 273 dancers competing, from benjamin to senior, with an impressive number of 86 dancers in benjamin 1 (10yo and youger).

The best ones in the younger categories will probably join the couple circuit in the coming years (Chalons ), like Loicia or Tiffany did. But I also expect that the growing numbers and the perspective of the ISU international competitions will help to maintain the high level up to senior.
