Wondering if some of these skaters, like the Mexican and Israeli and Turkish skaters, might end up staying in this part of Europe to train before Worlds? I don't know how practical that is, especially under the current situation, but it might make more sense than flying back and forth?

I am a bit confused with the 5 euros a day and 15 total... it's for streaming or for TICKETS FOR THE EVENT on site???

ENG: The Challenge Cup can be followed live every day at Schaatsen.nl/live. A day ticket costs € 5,00 and a pass-partout for all days € 15,00. Tickets are not yet available, this will follow later.

What happened to Aymoz? I hope it's not serious...

In theory the Israelis might go "home" to get vaccinated. But there could be quarantine requirements then.

I’m a bit surprised to see Kolyada here. He hasn’t lacked for competition experience so far this season.

Maybe he just likes competing? T/M want to get in front of an international panel so the same motives might apply for him. Although did he do that one competition in Belarus?

I suppose he could also want more run-throughs with the 4S added in the free skate (and maybe even in the short?).

Pulled muscle. Not major injury but painful and incapacitating. He was already injured at Nationals.

+ now you need to present a negative PCR test to get back to France. Meaning you have to find where to get it on time and to pay for it. It can be complicated and expensive as it's not covered by French social security. Lots of people are worried to be stuck abroad.

Well it is 5 euros per day or 15 for the entire competition, don't know if the stream will be available on demand but I will send them an email to know about this.

You can buy the pass via paypal, and you can log in in up to 2 devices at the same time with one account

Thinking about buying it for the saturday & sunday program. Or going for the complete competition.

Taljegard SWE is off the list as are Hamon/Strekalin FRA

They keep dropping like flies. I wonder if this has to do with the new travel restrictions to the Netherlands?

In Taljegard’s case, she got what she wanted at Tallink; no reason to risk performing badly and giving the federation second thoughts.
Agreed. Plus, no need to travel unnecessarily during these times.

And this morning...

Roth AUT is out of the ladies, which brings us down to 18 competitors. Men still sit at 17, Pairs at 11, and Dance at 3.
