S&K finished last there all G&P need is a surprise victory at 4cc ala S&K and all the momentum will be on there side plus the tech controller at gpf was Shawn Rettstatt american.Papadakis/Cizeron, Sinitsina/Katsalapov, Chock/Bates are the favorites imo.
It may be in Canada but Gilles/Poirier were still being scored like a second-tier team at GPF and I don't know if skating at home will really help. I think they can make top 5 but I'm not sure about the podium.
Hubbell/Donohue have completely screwed themselves over.
Stepanova/Bukin have the least stand out qualities of the GPF teams and even though their programs are good they don't stand out as much compared to the others.

Different events, Panels we will see i still think they will Medal having worlds in a big federation country always boosts scoring just going by historical patterns. Don`t forget G&P were not even national champions yet at the final i feel alot of the scoring there was based on reputation and major errors were not sanctionned ala P&C in the rd.S&K finished last there because of the slide "fall".
G/P finished almost 2 points behind everyone else in the RD with no major errors and similar levels. They had the joint highest FD base value with P/C and C/B, who both hit 70+ TES, yet they got 68 and were beaten by H/D with multiple lower levels. Their PCS was significantly lower than the other 5 teams in both programs, even skating skills where S/B should clearly score the lowest. I don't agree with it, but it's clear international judges aren't getting behind them as a top-tier team. And C/B having a surprise win at 4CC last year did not help them at all at worlds, really.
With how much international judges love C/B's FD, its gonna take some serious errors to stop them from winning 4CC.
Yeah its clear the rd has always been a main weakness for G&P , getting the key points especially they need avery strong rd at 4cc to make things interesting in the fd.S&K finished last there because of the slide "fall".

Though I’d happy with that top three, it’s difficult not to picture S/K being on the programme. I think H/D maybe pushed out of the top 5, I still appreciate their skating as but their material this year hasn’t done a lot to help them move ahead. The top 6th teams will be close after the RD like last year WC and this year GPF. I think we will have 1.P/C 2.C/B 3.G/P
C/B : their free is well received everywhere. High marks for their free at COC against S/K and GPF.
G/P : WC are in canada and they are skating to Joni Mitchell. They were close to S/K fd score in Russia so their free could get them the bronze. They are Canada best chance for a medal like Pechalat and Bourzat were for France in 2012.
i wonder what team won't be in the last group : S/B? H/D? I don't know.
Italy doesn`t have a judge at worlds though.H/D are so many light years ahead of G/P in skating skills that despite their crap programs, they're not going to lose to them barring a major error (which Zach is always capable of, however.) S/B have some politikal clout plus their programs are both quite good this year. G/P finishes 7th at Worlds behind G/F unless something really interesting happens politically behind the scenes, and given Canada's current weaknesses in the other disciplines, they don't have a lot to trade.
G/P have a higher SB than G/F -- not miles higher, but still higher -- so that's not quite a foregone conclusion.
