Anyone know where Skate Canada will be held in 2017? SA won't work since it's over Thanksgiving weekend so we are looking at attending SC instead. I did see Regina, Saskatchewan, bid but are there any other bidders? The Regina bid also said it would be held in October.

Hello. I'm new here. I'm from Holland and I'm following all the championships on Eurosport as much as I can. I was thrilled to hear that the World Championship will be held in Milano in 2018. I'm planning to go there with my husband for all days. Does anyone know in which venue it will take place? It's a bit early, but I'd also like to know when the ticket sale will be started for all games. If I had the money, I'd go to Helsinki. ;)

Skate Canada has been officially announced for Regina in 2017.
Here is the Skate Canada (association) event page with all the Canadian events for the year:

DASH Tours is advertising tours (coming soon) for the Grand Prix Final 2018 in Vancouver, BC.

Has this been confirmed by the ISU?

eta. Just noticed upthread it was confirmed.

Good though that DASH Tours will be offering tours soon for anyone looking for one. :)

Fantastic! We have had so much snow this year, it should mean the next few years will be nice and mild!

Don't know whether the info belongs here (feel free to open a new thread when official info is in),
Icenetwork just tweeted:

The ISU announces that the 2017 Nebelhorn Trophy will act as the Olympic Figure Skating Qualifying Competition for #PyeongChang2018.

Only one year to the World Championship in Milano. Does anyone know in which venue this will be held in Milano? And when will the ticket sale be on sale? I can't wait! We've already booked an apartment for a week in Milano!!

They had an information booth at Helsinki Worlds this week. The man told me ticket sales will begin in two weeks. The venue is Mediolanum Forum.

Ah yes, the brand new Meldonium Forum. Smartly designed and constructed with a skeleton of chemically-reinforced concrete and a beautiful tension-cable and fabric roof revealing the latest in pumped-up pressure technology. Executives in charge of the new Forum proudly state their highest goal was that the venue bring out the "ultimate performance" from participating athletes. Features in the athlete areas include a state-of-the-art medical station (designed with the advice of top Russian team doctors) and comfortable restroom areas with individual stalls each having a little pass-through compartment at the rear for those pesky samples that WADA requires. Spectators aren't forgotten either. The public areas of the new Forum contain much-improved food and beverage outlets (always the bane of spectators at public arenas) that promise to offer both "regular" and "spiked" versions of popular beverages at fair prices, and a variety of tasty snacks that are guaranteed to get fans through even the most grueling 6 hour-long figure skating short program competitions.

Montreal or Quebec for Worlds would be amazing! But wasn't there some discussion about Quebec's stadium being too big for figure skating events? (i may be misremembering this.)

Quebec City's arena is kinda in the middle of nowhere. And when they did GPF, people had to use OUTDOOR PORTA POTTIES. I hope that things have changed.

But I really want Worlds to go to Montreal. Skate Canada has been focusing on smaller arenas, but maybe after seeing how successful Boston was, they thought Montreal could attract fans. So, you East Coast Americans, you better come!

Eta: thanks for the updated information. No more outdoor Porta potties!
