Who will medal?

This is going to be a hard one to call. There's a lot of potential from so many skaters.

Marin: She's an amazingly gorgeous skater with really good technical content though I've noticed that she tends not to skate as well at the beginning of the season. Also this is her senior international debut which could add some pressure. If she skates cleanly I can't see her not landing on the podium.

Kaori: I don't find her to be as aesthetically pleasing as Marin but she's a fast skater with huge jumps. Her consistency is pretty steady as well. I'm not sure how much she's improved her presentation over the summer. That could be the mark that hurts her.

Mariah: Of course Mariah is amazing. Her issue last year was getting her jumps under control but then again, she's had a whole summer with Raf. Her jumps are gorgeous when she's on and she has the content too.

Mirai: Mirai has the content and summer momentum to win this if she can hit her jumps. And if she unveils (and lands) the 3A here that could be a deciding factor when it comes to her placement..

Karen: She's got that title working in her favor which is always a plus. Karen has everything she needs to be a gold medalist and if she puts it altogether she could win this event as well.

For the others they have a shot, but with the big names here I think the top 3 is already crowded enough.

Honestly it's anyone's game. Whoever throws it down the best is going to win. I'd like to see a podium consisting of Marin, Mirai and Karen in any order.

I agree that it is very difficult to forecast. So many podium possibilities! Plus, I would feel a certain amount of poll angst if I were to cast a vote because a fav or two might not make the cut. A dilemma...
