2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony PBP - Ciao Ciao Milano

I'm still pissed that Arena di Verona was closed to visitors when I was in Verona a year and a half ago. Oh well, a reason to go again. :)

Seems like a damn shame that the athletes aren't already in the arena to enjoy the entire show.

Have you never watched a Closing Ceremony before? The athletes are never in situ at the beginning.

Love the soloists. I didn't recognize them -- anyone know who they were?

Aida, Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly, Figaro,...invading the scene
Come to think of it, did we get any skating programs to these this Olympics, esp. Madama Butterfly?

Aida is also sorely relatively underused in skating.

I wonder if we're going to get a logo reveal for the French Alps 2030 during the handover portion.

You may have been there at the same time I was? I had it high on my list of things to do, only to get there and them say there was some last-minute concert added so no one was allowed in all day 😒
