Have you never watched a Closing Ceremony before? The athletes are never in situ at the beginning.

Aida is also sorely relatively underused in skating.

Italian opera was woefully underused by skaters during the games. For once, warhorses would have been appropriate.

The Arena in Verona existed when the original Olympic Games were still being held. Not going to get that in LA.

Loved seeing the Italian skaters among the medalists. Their bronze was one of the highlights of the entire Olympics for me. I'll never forget Rizzo's skate as long as I live! It was better than gold.

You may have been there at the same time I was? I had it high on my list of things to do, only to get there and them say there was some last-minute concert added so no one was allowed in all day
