Vonn has Surgery to Repair Broken Left Leg

“In the afternoon, she underwent orthopedic surgery to stabilise the fracture sustained in her left leg,” the hospital said in a statement. A source told Reuters that she was being monitored in the intensive care unit where she could have more privacy, and stressed there was no threat to her life.

Man oh man! I never followed skiing, but applaud Vonn for her success and helping put the sport in the public eye. Hoping for a full recovery.

The Italians are crushing the men's giant slalom snowboarding event. but it looks like the 40 yo Austrian is doing great as well. Boarders be crazy This is like surfing or other elimination sports as the riders do elimination runs with the finals being between the top 2 and the bronze between number 3 and 4.

Thank goodness the Austrian is doing well - between Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Lindsey Vonn, it hasn't been a good Olympics for us people in our 40s
