LaLa seemed a bit off for them. A few spacing issues, and Zach a bit off on the timing in the spin maybe? I do love the intricate holds on this dance and their interpretation is sublime.

Now I can say it - not a fan of the FD. The music gets onto my nerves after the first couple minutes.

That was exquisite and I'm glad Lajoie and Lagha got the chance to participate in the TE. I mean, White Crow is bomb, but they don't let the music do all the work (like some skaters do), and the elements are choreographed well to it.

I'd also rather see this program twice in the Olys than Vincent

I mean, yeah Chock/Bates are to be commended for all their hard work, but blah. And the alternative is no more appealing.

I'm so sick of seeing all the girls with bleeding knees from the knee slides. I think they should wear knee pads. It will ruin the lines but I'd rather see that than the scraped knees!

The ISU could just get rid of the sliding element

Lajoie spends more time on her knees than Anissina/Peizerat (in the R & J program?) back in the day when North Americans whined that A/P didn’t do enough skating. Dick Button liked it, though.

Best music of the day goes to Kagiyama’s version of Sir Duke - it was delicate and expressive and suited him far more than the original (which I love) would have -it could have overwhelmed him. But this version of Paint it Black is a solid second.

I literally hate the red skirt. It is just getting tangled the entire program. Please removed it. OMG

Set 1 and set 2 of the twizzles didn’t move. Come on.

I actually quite like their character step and the hops they do at the end of it. Rotational lift is great. But this still remains small and they get no push or speed out of anything.

Evan just looks rough in general to me. There is absolutely no use of his upper body.

That said, I like the program and a lot of the element placement and I’m actually surprised the audience doesn’t seem super into it.

Chock/Bates looking a little cautious in this performance, but really nothing was at risk here as long they got through the program without major error they would win this segment of the competition easily.

One of my many issues with the dance party RD themes is that all the teams then want to do something different for the FD so we go from relentless party to Relentless Lyrical Snot and Drama.

The shorter skirt just isn't working very well but they killed it, seems slower here than they did at Nationals though

I'm not there, but on TV it looks like they are slow and cover zero ice. As usual.

Also, she this entire program is basically him running circles around her while she adjusts her skirt. I appreciate them a lot for their work, but they really have no business being gold medals favourites.

Madi’s skirt does seem to have a mind of its own today. I thought the RD performance was better. Crazy high score for the FD though.

I think she'll watch this video back and get rid of the skirt before the individual It's beautiful but so distracting from the actual dance. I don't feel that will beat the French even if they do have a decent lead from the RD.

We talk a lot about their weaknesses and age, but they skate very close together and in closed holds more than most of the other FDs this season.
