On a serious thought (not sure why I'm starting now)... but I wonder if they were mapping the sub-ice microphones. Perhaps they lost the calibration file that told them the best position vs mic mix. You know, the microphones that nobody asked for and nobody likes.

They can't get the commentator's mic levels right, but by god they're going to get the perfect blend on their ice mics.

Either NBC can’t fathom timezones other than US Eastern and misunderstood the time schedule or they messed up the broadcasting of their recap hour for the broad audience in advance of the final groups. I’m guessing it’s the latter.

I also am guessing the latter. But it could be both. It's pretty normal to have a brief recap on the Sat. afternoon broadcast. But an hour is a lot. Maybe someone thought it was a 30-minute recap and wasn't ready in time.

Given that the replay of the women's free skates should be over by 4pm and the schedule says that Group 2 doesn't start their warm up until 6:11, anyone want to take a bet on whether or not we see that "Olympic team announcement" for the women that was filmed earlier today & reported on by in SS a few hours ago to fill the 10 minutes before the 2nd group gets on the ice?
