I was just going to say we need quirky Olga back, and there she is.

Also, I hope all the video screens don't become a fixture at Worlds. It's creepy seeing the skaters "watch" themselves.
They had the video screens in the KnC area last year too. Pretty sure they're here to stay.

It was a struggle. Olga brings a different look to her programs, and has a perspective, and that makes her an interesting skater to watch.

In my mind, there's a universe where Mikutina was battling it out in the GPF (Championship Series?) with Nikidinov, Slute, Fumie Suguri, Kwan, and Sebestyen. Elena Liashenko and Vanessa Gusmeroli were the alternates. This is how the natural order should have been.

No, but if you dress as a mime and pretend to be a chair, everyone will be socially required by the bit to pretend you aren't there.
I love this so much. If it helps my case, I won't understand a word they're saying, I'll just be there for the vibes.

Oh, goodness... Not a single jumping pass in the green for Julia. Such a shame. She can be quite lovely when she's on.

Julia: Seems to be something funky going on with her reach back for some of the toe-assisted jumps. And in general she gets a TON of air on her jumps but little distance. Still, I really enjoy watching her; she just has a really nice style. Good dresses for both programs this year.

That music was driving me insane because it was too build a home but with a weird beat then rain in your black eyes then back to the funky beat

On Wednesday I had a friend over and the TV had the Women’s SP on and he was asking me about skating, and I explained a bit and then said “and now she’s going to fall” and the skater did and he thought it was magic. But it’s all about how we learn to read body language in this specific instance. Here’s a case where even a novice could see that she’s off from the beginning.

Julia has got some of the loveliest expression while she skates that I’m glad she made it, qualified, and got thru the event.

"Loreen Shields" on the ice according to Chris.

Her costume is giving me ugly Russian vibes with the long skirt and gloves.

"really trying to pack the content in" with combos that end in a stop (unintended).

Can we PLEASE stop with the heart hands?

The jump technique doesn't always allow for great combinations/sequences, but it exciting to watch her try to land the big solo jumps.
