It's true re: the Washington Post and its lack of interest in fs. Ilia lives in Vienna, a suburb of DC and they barely mention his achievements (too obsessed with the awful football team and a few other sports).

Me too... requesting a PM. I just finished that chapter. This is quite a book and shocking info' re: the skating world (at least to me)... especially about the judges.

I think they ought to use the Champions on Ice format: pro skaters, and a few amateurs (skating their current competitive programs). I attended two COI shows, a year apart, and saw a wonderful mix of Olympic medalists and some current competitors. No silly skits...just outstanding figure...

Well...I guess we don't get to see any ice dance from 4 CC. It's been just men's and women's.

I don't recall any other ice dance teams having concussions (especially both skaters). They're wise to be taking a break, figuring out what's next for them.

I love it when they skate at this outdoor rink in Manhattan (and in their black costumes where all the elements stand out). I wish they'd update their How Do You Like Me Now jr program for senior competition.

On a cruise 3 years ago, we met a Scottish couple at a karaoke contest (we were bored ?). The husband wanted to sing "I'm Gonna Be" but the staff didn't have it. He told us that this song is sung at the end of most wedding receptions, parties, events, etc., in Scotland. Elvis Stoyko used this...

The Russians have been allowed to participate in several Olympics despite having been caught cheating via drugs over & over. It's way past time to ban them from the Olympics...the games that are supposed to promote friendship & good will amongst all the participating athletes. What that...

I enjoyed reading that list of pairs teams (all the way back to the Hartsells!). Kalesavich & Parchem were favorites of mine.

Does anyone have any idea why the judges don't care for Hawayak/Baker?

If I sign up for Peacock, will I be able to see (along with regular NBC) all of the GP, Nationals & World's? That's all I'm interested in.

The Chinese, as hosts, want to end the O's on a high note with S/H as gold medalists.

Initially, I didn't like either of their programs this season. But they must've fine-tuned them because last night C/B were lookin' very good!
