I like East Europe. Would totally move to Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Croatia, Bulgaria (dismissing Romania and Hungary because of the language - both are too complicated).
Why would it be? The weather is not hot/sunny, the language is not easy, not a 3rd world country. I can't imagine anyone wanting to retire to a nordic/north-ish country (unless they are from the middle east and sick of getting sunburnt every couple of days).
Though Berlin is super popular among...
I was baffled who on earth is Prince Gremin when went to Paris ballet to see Onegin. There is no such character in the book. And really Cranko should had called the ballet what it was - Tatiana. Not Onegin.
I have the same effect from certain brands and only if the tea is really strong. Think Ahmed tea does it to me while Twinings does not. On the same note - the tea in the UK is always much stronger than the tea in Israel (I don't know whether it's the amount of tea in each teabag or the water...
Have you been to either? I would never want to live in Philippines. It was fun being there for a week or so as a tourist with the money, but living there???
My mother immigrated when she was 43. She was a software engineer, but she was never able to find a decent job - her salary was always...
Tutberidze is in China. One Russian media outlet writes `Petrosian will have support off ice' , the other - `an accredited coach has a right to be next to any skater'. Am not quite sure how is she accredited? With Gubanova for Georgia? As a Russian fed official?
ETA: As part of the Georgian...
Of course not. However, Daineko will be there with Gumennik and Rukavitsin (I assume, may be someone else) with Gubanova. And well, Gumennik and Gubanova themselves. I also don't know whether the team will be sent like officials? doctors? who else usually travels with them?
It's not a closed competition, is it? I.e. anyone can just get a flight ticket/entrance ticket and go if they choose to.
And think China just cancelled the visas for Russians, so they can just get a flight ticket and go
If I understood correctly - no, Petrosian will go alone. I think they had to submit one name and that was Gleikhengauze. They can't change it. At least the Russian media insinuates Petrosian is to go alone
Guess Petrosian is lucky Gubanova will be there as well, so at the very least she'll have Daineko and Rukavitsin looking after her. But in my books weird they named Gleikhengause and not Tutberidze.
Hm... I somehow assumed figure skating was an individual sport and who cares if Uno is Japanese, Virtue/Moir are Canadians and Kostner is an Italian. Apparently we've been watching a different sport.
