I’ve warmed to the new costume - I bet it’s more impressive in person. And I prefer the dress. The original blue costume was a little too 90s Russian coded for me to completely love.

No indeed! Emi& Vadym were advocates of bringing back the pattern and were enthusiastic about a waltz. A bit of Golden Walz won’t intimidate a skater who learned all her patterns and successfully tested them within four months of starting ice dance. Their work ethic is insane.

Remember back when we thought this season’s ice dance was going to be dull and predictable?

I remember the 1982 Nats as being a packed house at Market Square Arena. We were quite excited to see Scott Hamilton. Alas, that arena is no longer there. There are tons of affordable hotels and restaurants about 10 minutes from the Coliseum. The Fairgrounds would be a good size for SKA.

I’m surprised Indianapolis hasn’t tried to host SKA or Nationals. Downtown has Lucas Oil Stadium, the Convention Center and Gainbridge Fieldhouse; the Indiana State Fairgrounds has the Indiana Farmers Coliseum (6500), the adjoining Pop Weaver Ice Arena and the Fall Creek Pavilion (4000-5000)...
