Remember back when we thought this season’s ice dance was going to be dull and predictable?

I remember the 1982 Nats as being a packed house at Market Square Arena. We were quite excited to see Scott Hamilton. Alas, that arena is no longer there. There are tons of affordable hotels and restaurants about 10 minutes from the Coliseum. The Fairgrounds would be a good size for SKA.

I’m surprised Indianapolis hasn’t tried to host SKA or Nationals. Downtown has Lucas Oil Stadium, the Convention Center and Gainbridge Fieldhouse; the Indiana State Fairgrounds has the Indiana Farmers Coliseum (6500), the adjoining Pop Weaver Ice Arena and the Fall Creek Pavilion (4000-5000)...

Vadym said he and Emi put their self choreographed show program together in under 2 days. 😳 And yes, they picked Carol of the Bells because it’s based on a Ukrainian folk song. He also mentioned that the participating skaters who had competed at GPF all got sick after Philly.

ZK left Sunday for Japan - I don’t know about a live they did. Where are you seeing accusations of them cheating? They are such kind people, I really hate to see such falsehoods inflicted on them, especially at a moment they should be celebrating. .

This is not true. ZK consulted with Rettstatt’s husband (who is in the fashion industry) on their costumes for their 2023 FD (BatB). Rettstatt certainly never picked their programs and he’s not their paid consultant. ZK have been consulting with Benoit since the 2023 season.

Anyone else figuring out how to watch the BC and Skate Canada simultaneously? Sovereignty drew well - post 6 - in the Classic and is deservedly installed as favorite.

Emi and Vadym have their first Challenger assignment of the season - Kinoshita Cup in Osaka, Japan, September 5-7. Should be a good opportunity for them to pick up some WS points. Next week they’ll be at Champs Camp in Boston. I’m ready for their program announcements!
