I believe that they didn't consistently compete at Junior world but they were an experienced team.Yes, there was a buzz as they won silver at Junior world before moving up to Senior (Romain Haguenauer tells the story somewhere). P/C's presentation improved when they started working in Montreal.

The were an exception in the fact that they were not regular winners of the Junior circuit and that for many casual ice dance followers, they seem to shoot to the top out of nowhere. V/M for example, were very much expected to be top contenders as seniors. They 'exploded' in the senior rankings...

Gabriella and Guillaume were the exception. I remember an interview of Stepanova/Bukin who were ahead of P/C in Juniors say that Junior and Senior are totally different worlds.

I like Harris/Chan's FD ... a bit flat at times but very light and a lot of synchronicity. I think it has potential. Reed/Amb could become great but I not a fan of the music and the FD came across as long which is never a great sign.

From what I see on their social media, it is the other way around: Gaby in Montreal and Guillaume in France.

They were truly special! They brought me back to Ice Dance and I feel the loss. There will be other champions but I'm not sure anyone will compare in terms of artistry. Time will tell. I do hope they recover their friendship in time: they are currently experiencing life and who they are in a way...
