Olympic Channel - Launches July 15th

Just saw this thread. I live in the SF Bay Area, and have Comcast. Just checked. and I do get the Olympic Channel. It's 739 in my area. It does appear to have replaced Universal HD.

You're right. They're demonstrating that they're quite capable of coming out with wacky ideas on their own :yikes:

Exhibitions on Monday? That's bizarre. And unprecedented to my knowledge. And as some of you have suggested not fair to those who purchased their All-Event tickets early on. What's next? Men's free on Monday also?

I'm local, and was phoned a couple weeks or so ago. I had already purchased my tix. Not sure why Eric didn't know that in advance.

Do we know for certain that they are using Ticketmaster? I don't see TM referenced anywhere. I thought perhaps for this event the SAP might be using its own ticket search engine. I don't know. At least we are allowed to bring food in. That's what it says in the arena's FAQ anyway: "Guests may...

    San Jose, California will host 2018 U.S. Nationals (Dec. 29, 2017 - Jan. 7, 2018)

We are not being allowed to select our seats. Moreover based on what they currently show on the ticket order form, we will not even be able to request a specific section nor a "general area." Major disappointment! Especially compared to the fine personal service we received in 2012. Tickets to...

What an ethereal, breathtaking number. And what a radiant Carolyn. :)

    San Jose, California will host 2018 U.S. Nationals (Dec. 29, 2017 - Jan. 7, 2018)

There were many facets of the 2012 Nationals I really liked. One in particular was the great customer service the arena showed in allowing us to choose our own seats, and in confirming seat selection over the phone. We can only hope the service will be so user-friendly in 2018. Do you hear me...

Love, Balls and Courting: Tennis V

Wimbledon is shaping up to be very exciting. So many story lines. Will be interesting to see how Djokovic competes after finally realizing his goal at the French. He will be one of few who have taken the whole grass season off.

Chen on road to recovery after season-ending injury

Amen. Do we really need to see four quads in a long program to get the point? I love the athletic component of skating, but I would be tempted to limit the number of quads allowed in a long, especially since the evidence is pretty clear that too many multiple-revolution jumps is "harmful to...

Chen on road to recovery after season-ending injury

U.S. bronze medalist training in Colorado Springs, still not doing jumps. Very good to hear potentially-encouraging news out of the Chen camp. http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2016/05/18/178809206

    Seguin/Bilodeau, Firus out of Worlds

Why is there only one French man competing here in Boston, when they qualified two? This question obviously belongs in a different thread, was just hoping someone might be able to offer a quick answer. I have been unable to find an answer anywhere. Thanks.
