A team with better international results gets picked and it’s supposed to be some sort of a SKANDAL?
Very Trumpian of everyone crying over this. No, there isn’t always fraud and cheating when things don’t go your way.
Oh, fun! Love Vegas. Since I need to be in LA for work starting the week after, I'll likely stop by Vegas on my way again and never actually make it to skating, just like last year. :40beers:
If you make sure you're not in the West Wing, you're fine. And if you opt for the StayWell category, that's not a concern whatsoever.
Vdara near Aria is completely smoke free (and it has no casino).
MGM Grand (StayWell rooms won't have a hint of smoke), Park MGM or NYNY are your best bets. That part of The Strip is a 5-minute car ride away from the arena ($7 Uber/Lyft ride, each way).
I alternate between COVERGIRL Clean Matte BB Cream and Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream (the oil free version). The latter one includes a 30 SPF and therefore is a little thicker.
I'm loving all the beautiful photos from yesterday's celebration. Today they're saying the estimated attendance was actually over 3 million. Toronto showed up!
It's still unreal to think I can now refer to my team as the NBA Champions after 10 years of jokes and slander I've had to...
I wouldn't sensationalize that though. One person is in hospital with non life threatening injuries. Whenever you have two and a half million people out at the same time, incidents are bound to happen.
I'd rather focus on the positive, like things like this and this.
Whee, thanks! :rockstar:
Add Nole to the group. I have a pretty good record of athletes and teams I start rooting for early on in their careers or when they are shite (Raptors won 20 games, out of 82, in the first season I followed closely) making it big and winning significant titles.
So...
Kendrick Perkins has proved himself to be, by far, THE BEST analyst in this year's Finals. He's keeping things real AND in perspective. Whichever network can snag him in a permanent position will be very lucky.
I think this "cheering for the injury" has been blown out of proportion. There was a...
I'm not a stranger to Raptors fan fatalism so that's my first instinct after 24 years of doom but, objectively, I still think they have a good chance. In Game 5 the Warriors (hate their collective arrogance, especially Draymond's) shoot the lights out and the Raps played their worst game so far...
You're also going to pretend you care because we're friends!
Seriously though, I've been a Raptors fan for a decade, after I had moved to Toronto in 2003, I didn't really feel any connection to the city until I got into basketball and got adopted by the super friendly fans. Then in 2012...
