You're right, nothing's set in stone, was just saying I don't think Vincent would refuse to do the FS segment of the free skate even if it is close to the individual SP since it's his best chance of winning an Olympic medal.
I think Nathan will get first choice, likely selecting to do the SP as in the last Olympics.
I also think the probability of the US getting a medal in the Team Event remains higher than that of Vincent getting an individual medal simply because there are less medal contenders.
In short, I...
Didn't want to pile on him and I do expect him to do well in Nebelhorn but after each of his 2 disastrous skates at Worlds he has put on a very long emo post mentioning an injury for the first time after being very gung-ho before his skate. I hope he stops this "excuses" habit.
I don't think Nathan thinks of domination when he sets goals, not that any of us will ever know for sure😉. I believe his goals for this season would be a clean 6 quad FS and clean Olympic programs.
Beyond that, maybe the first 7 quad FS (which would require a quad axel hahaha we can dream).
Yeah Savchenko and Massot were the only top pair that did not attempt a quad element at the Olympics. The points change was for this Olympic cycle and not the last.
