I'm very happy for Da'Vine Joy Randolph, she was fabulous in The Holdovers.
Also very pleased Zone of Interest won a couple, especially for sound. Wish Sandra Huller had won something.
I haven't caught Oppenheimer yet - I've heard such mixed reviews from those I know who've seen it - but I'm...
Late to it, but I finally got round to watching Banshees of Inisherin. It's fabulous. Gorgeous to watch, great performances, thought provoking, interesting etc.
I'm sad it didn't win any Oscars (did it?) but whatever.
I enjoyed it so much more than EEAAO, which I've tried to watch a second...
I also preferred Cate Blanchett to win tonight, but congrats to Michelle Yeoh.
Gutted for Angela Bassett though.
I just couldn't get in to EEAAO. Tbf, I watched it not long after I'd been unwell, so maybe I just wasn't in the right mood; perhaps I'll give it another go.
^Oh thanks for posting that. "Butt and body wiggles" - with classical training - as performed by Queen Boginskaya, even past her best in 1996, is much more enjoyable to me than any of the butt and body wiggles, or most of the other "artistry" I saw at Worlds this year.
I didn't like Gadirova's routine AT ALL but I don't have the gym knowledge I used to, so what do I know.
Overall the "artistry" (and posture) in WAG is seriously lacking judging from the FX EF.
Very happy Andrade won the AA though.
Serena-Sabalenka and particularly Osaka-Muguruza were such interesting matches.
Serena is moving better than she has for a long time.
Osaka really does have the mentality of a champion now. Garbi was 5-3 and two MP's up.
Felix AA needs to learn how to compete like Naomi, bad loss from two...
ITA actually. I'm surprised this particular podcast seems so informal and "light" about something relatively serious. About 15 mins in but not sure I'll finish it.
I've never listened to Gymcastic before, and I'm only about 10 minutes in, but I'm confused as to why the main host seems so bubbly and happy whilst talking about sensitive issues? Am I missing something?
I don't know anything really about NCAA, apart from Miss Val. And I've always had a fake/phoney vibe from her. Yet she seemed absolutely beloved. Has anyone else spoken out about her?
Yea, i don't think I even meant to write Belu. I was just thinking of Romanian officials in general. It was 7am tbf
Still, my point remains the same.
And thanks for the info @cris
This comparison is a bit arbitrary. I feel sorry for both of them; they went through a lot, and much of their gymnastics life was probably out of their hands. AM certainly wouldn't have falsified her age herself. Belu got her parents to do that.
