Next year at Nationals could really be a fight among more then just the typical 3 or 4 skaters for the title. I see Alysa being a contender as well as Isabeau of course with Ava and Lindsay in the next group. Next are skaters moving up like Sarah Everhardt and Elyce Lin-Gracey and let's not...
Yeah Tanith was looking to get screwed over again with not having US citizenship for a 2nd straight Olympics despite living in the US for nearly 8 years. She should never have to had President Bush get involved. She did everything by the rules and they were still dragging their feet until Bush...
Well that's good news for the skaters who will be competing at US Nationals next year at least the 4CC team will actually have some time to rest before they have to leave for Seoul unlike this season which was just a mess with no time between Nats and 4CC.
Well if Alysa is in good shape with all of her jumps back and improved skating skills and speed she will be hard to beat. She's the best the US had when it comes to being a tough competitor who can skate under pressure. If she can somehow get her 3axel back watch out.
I think it's obvious that someone else is going to have to one to get two spots back for Canada because i just don't see Maddie moving up very much. The field is just going to get harder in the next couple of years if anything.
The fact that Avonley Nguyen is still sitting at home not competing is a crime. Sort of like when Caitlin Yankowkas got dumped and never competed for the US ever again. How do two skaters like this only 17 and 20 and already champions when their partners broke up with them never find partners...
I just don't get Ilia not wanting to compete at 4CC every great skater from North America has competed their at once or twice. He can do shows anytime he wants.
I don't understand they keep putting Isabeau and Amber together at Skate America. It ruins the chance both may have the make the GPF if they keep competing against each other. That's why the USFS would always keep Gracie and Ashley from facing off at SA for that very reason.
It would really suck if they made the podium at Nationals in 2026 and not be able to go just like B/A in 2002. But the field is much deeper in US ice dance now then back in 2002 so it probably won't happen. I do think they are the most promising US Junior champions to come along in a decade at...
Next season is where Ilia really needs to work on his skating skills, speed and component elements since we all know he has all of the jumps. Show the judges you are more then just a jumper so you can become more complete and narrow the PCS disadvantage you have and you become nearly unbeatable...
If Alysa gets back to her 2021 form she will be a real threat we know that while she struggles at times with rotations that she has landed 3xels before and doesn't lose steam afterwards in her programs like Amber does. When competing she is the toughest competitor the US has for the ladies.
Ilia will be almost 3 years older then Nathan was in 2018 and will have had the whole 4 years of the Olympic cycle to be ready for 2026. Nathan only had half that amount of time and had only one chance to skate at Worlds before the 2018 Olympics so Ilia will be much more exprienced.
That's why i'm getting bored with Ice dance those teams have been around forever i want to see new teams fighting for the top not old teams just looking to outlast everyone more then anything to get a finally get a medal. We need some excitement.
