What I hope is done
Bradie and Mirai for both Olympics and worlds
Karen for Olympics
Ashley for worlds
Mariah and Angela and Ashley/Karen for 4CC
Starr + ? For JW
I think it's Bradie or Mirai's this year. Bradie has the technical consistency, but Mirai isn't too far behind this year. And it would be great for her to win nationals 10 years from her first trip.
I'm hoping that major spoiler either bronze or pewter medals this year.
so other than the top 5 at nationals. There's the 3 international assignment or conflicting assignment route to nationals.
How does this look for Bradie, Angela, and Courtney. (their likelihood to get the later CS assignments)
In Mirai's instagram story, she states that this is not necessarily her last year, but she doesn't think she'll make it thru another 4 years/the next Olympic cycle.
I really like both of Mirai's programs this season (if only she could skate the SP like she did at Autumn classic). I also really enjoy Bradie's FS. So those are the two I'm rooting this season. Karen's programs (and Mariah's FS) aren't inspired this season. I don't mind repeating one program...
I was mostly frustrated that I'd rather see other match-ups than Mirai vs Mariah four times. None of them go head to head with Ashley or Gracie etc. I'm glad they're using all of their allotted spots though. I'm hoping they utilize the other challenger series well for the ladies who aren't at...
is anyone else bothered that Mariah and Mirai are going head to head at least 4 times this year? US Classic, GP's, and nationals. It's a great line up at US Classic, but what is USFSA thinking?
With Courtney at Skate Detroit and Caroline at Glacier Falls both doing well. Who do you think is getting SkAm? I don't really see Polina a contender until more triples appear. Angela Wang will debut at Philly International? Maybe she'll do well there and contend.
She'll master that step sequence eventually. And I love the change of music during the chsp. The outside edge on her lutz is great now!. Was a bit worried her second flip was going to called e. Jeff chose great cuts and pacing for Mirai. If that first 2A turns into a 3A, it'll be a 8 triple FS...
While she underrotated the 3A and fell on the flip, no one can deny that Mirai did a true outside edge lutz. That's my takeaway from this SP. Not only is she upping the double to a 3A, but the loop to a lutz. Good for her.
Interested to see the layout for her LP. If she goes for the 3A, I...
I think the only sure one is Nathan.
I went with Joshua Farris and Max Aaron. I have a soft spot for almost team trainwreck skaters with perseverance. Realistically it'll be Jason Brown and Vincent Zhou though (the latter depending on his first GP season). I don't think Adam is going to compare...
