2026 Worlds Pairs FS PBP - Loathe Story

She choreographed only their LP which they kept from previous seasons. They worked with an Armenian choreographer for SP.

    2026 Worlds Mens SP - Czech-ered His-tory

Daniliants really struggled to deliver in SP when it mattered lately (Worlds 25 and Beijing qualifier), it's good to see him finally produce a decent SP skate at a major championship. I see he changed coaching camps. His ISU bio now lists Alexei Vasilevski and Julia Lavrenchuk as coaches. He was...

2026 Worlds in Prague - info & planning thread

I happen to know the person who is in charge of transportantion at this Worlds. Let me check with her. Back in September, she was very upset it was taking longer than expected, but told me the mucipality promised it would be done by Worlds. Regretfully, I won't be in Prague. Enjoy everyone who...

2026 Olys Womens FS PBP - Missed Full of Horrors

If this medals, I want to see how Russian press will be justifying a medal with a fall, after they were so outraged with Kagiyama last week. I still don’t think she will medal.

Doping aside, Valieva had amazing skating skills. Everyone here can have a sigh of relief, this will not even medal.

Music rights clearance issues (policy being implemented by the ISU starting in 2024)

Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin had to change the tracks in their Olympic free skate to Slumdog Millionaire to remixes, because of music rights. Only remixes were available in ClickNClear. For their short, the composer Ara Gevorkian gave his explicit consent for Artsakh and was actively...

2026 Olys Womens SP PBP - Cheated Rivalry

I would have had Samodelkina in the lead… Loved her genuine presentation as opposed to a “taught” one from Petrosian. I suggest you bring these grievances to where it belongs, i.e. to the judges who put out those scores. A skater is just doing her job.

2026 Olys Pairs FS PBP - Are We Not Entertained?

Both her father and mother are Armenian. Yes. She was injured for a few seasons and it took them a while to get the release from Russia. They had to change their music to remixes while already in Milan/Bellinzona (hence the elevator music in the opening part of the program) because of music...

2026 Olys Pairs SP PBP - Veni, Vidi, Wedgie

What you call generically Russian is music by an Armenian composer from his album “Ani” (named after the capital of the ancient Armenian kingdom). The track is dedicated to Artsakh, one of the regions of that kingdom (every track on the album is dedicated to one). The harmony of this music is as...
