My local rink is at risk (Lloyd Center Ice Rink in Portland, OR)

Duly noted and thanks. I was looking as I rely on public transit. For reference, both the Vancouver, WA and Sherwood rinks are about a 1.5 hours from downtown. The Beaverton one may be a bit more doable but it's only one bus line running there (but not too badly with a 15 minute frequency...

    Underused classical music

Yup. Skaters don't even have to go to rarely heard classical pieces that much either. Even a lot of popular classics (aside from Rachmaninoff Piano Concerti recently and the Die Fleidermaus overture which was used a lot for a stretch in skating and ye olden gymnastics compulsory routines)...

    Underused classical music

Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien is woefully underused. My vague recollection is Menzies & Bombardier using it in a long program way back. (I'm old.) Bruch's Violin Concerto too.

This dates me :) but Kovarikova and Novotny had a less-jarring-music-cuts-than-I-remembered SP to it during the 1993/1994 season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2M49dHbMqQ That said, if popular classics are going to be reused, there's plenty of it besides Carmen, Swan Lake, etc. :D
