    The 2025-26 Awards Season Thread

It would be cool if we didn't have dozens of commercials for the broadcast.

Are you ready for some Football (NFL style) - 2025/2026 season?

Which is foolish—the team needs a rebuild anyway. Why rush him in behind a line that can’t protect him? As KC fans we’ve watched plenty of losing seasons. What’s one more?

I have a lot of respect for the journalist Albert Breer and he brought up something I didn't think about when it comes to Mahomes. Because he has either played in the Superbowl every year or in the AFC championship (and lost) he has actually compiled an extra season's worth of games just from...

Director/Actor Rob Reiner & wife Michele found slain in their Brentwood home

This TikTok offering was from a CBS news story about classmates Rob Reiner and Albert Brooks. I think Albert Brooks must be in a very sad state right now: https://www.tiktok.com/@cbssundaymorning/video/7584160955878149390?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc

    Fall 2024-Summer 2025 New/Returning/Streaming/TV Shows

I think this was the reason I also liked "Lincoln." We just assumed the Confederacy went down and that was it for slavery. But there were four slave states who did not join the war effort and in order to free everyone the Constitution needed to be amended which was very difficult. Also Daniel...

    In Memoriam

I know they had four children and I'm assuming grandchildren as well. How awful. RIP to a wonderful filmmaker and his wife.

Horrific whether they were killed by their son or a stranger. He had some terrific films that were touchstones for so many of us. For me it was This is Spinal Tap and When Harry Met Sally. He had so many good films. And his television history was important as well.

Yeah that was ugly and then Travis went after him. And the Rice went after him. And then he was gone thank heavens. They had some booming clean hits. But Jefferson took it too far. Well now I'm going to cheer for Minshew the rest of the season!

I should do better though. I used to love the Commanders decades ago when they were the Redskins. But I'm such an AFC girlie because of the Chiefs.

I need to keep.up with the NFC. The people who analyze the game say they are stronger than the AFC.

Josh Allen brought his team back today. That will be quite a rivalry going forward. I thought I was going to be ill seeing Mahomes go down with that kneecap popping. I suspect his season is over. Baltimore is hanging in there. And the Texans look strong. The AFC playoffs should be so...

What song are you listening to?

This is a young couple who sings the same song to each other every Christmas. It isn't a Christmas song but one from Ed Sheeran and Christina Perry. I think it's perfect. https://www.tiktok.com/@nmsteiger/video/7583350614113930526?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc

    Let's Talk Movies #36 - 2020 - Yep it is a new decade

I watched Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man and I think I like this one over the first two films. These whodunnits are more fun than anything else. Daniel Craig, Glenn Close and Josh Brolin are completely over-the-top while Josh O’Connor is so likable as the priest in the middle of this mystery...

    Let's Talk Movies #36 - 2020 - Yep it is a new decade

Plus that young woman absolutely stole the show in House of The Dragon. I'm interested to be sure. The other two: No to The Moment. Tired of entitled, whiny types. Zendaya and Robert...hhhmmm...maybe. I watched Jay Kelly tonight on Netflix about a Hollywood movie star and his choices in...
