2026 Olys Mens FS PBP - Habemus Pop-am

I know the Olympics are in Italy, but I'm not sure that an Italian operatic-style cover of an Ed Sheeran song was necessarily the way to go :shuffle:
I was in Vegas over the weekend and they played this version during the Bellagio fountains show and it got interrupted by an ambulance wailing. I almost wished for an ambulance during Jin's performance :shuffle:

Remember when Boyang was young and we were younger and we all said “if he could get some artistry with those jumps, he could win a lot of medals”. This skate is a salad of throwing jumps against a wall and seeing what lands along with a higher level of artistry than he used to have. It’s also 12 minutes long. I kinda enjoyed the “what next?” that we got.

Thank you for your skating, Boyang. Not your highest-placing skate, but I think it resonated.

My sister is asking me indignant, why is everyone falling... I don't know what is worse, this is the person that gave me as a gift my first and only event live... France GP (and went with me to ALL the skating) and the person who has heard me talk about this sport since I was 14 and she was 9. Has she learned nothing from me :drama:? Does the phrase "the men are mening" means nothing to her?

I feel like my knowledge has been waste

I'm having lunch with my sister and my nephew's M-I-L after the Olympics, and I'm probably going to have to bring a powerpoint on ice dance judging...

so I guess it's just regular ugly, still wish I smoked
I did. It didn't help.

Is that possible according the laws of physics?
Now, just stop that. Jennifer Robinson was always "pleased" with her skates, as I recall. No matter how many errors may have occured, when that inevitable microphone was pushed in front of her face, she always said, "I'm pleased with how I skated." Jen is definitely a glass-half-full type of gal.

I missed the first two groups who should I go back to watch. I'm thinking Carillo and Rizzo just because I love both of them. I came in as Max was skating so I watched him and Boyang.

Plus, didn’t she have two years when she landed all seven triples being one of the very few women who did?

Is it mathematically possible (based on their BV planned elements) for anyone to break into the top 3 or is the podium a lock even if the top 3 have bad (for them) skates?

I hope his Fed will allow him to retire when he wants to.
One would hope, but they don't have the best track record in that regard. They don't have much in the way of skating anymore and had to drag out retired pair and dance teams for this event. Failure is not taken well.

I don't think this result will give CHN any incentive to keep him in.

Hey, I really liked Top Ten Jen. :)She represented Canada well and she really helped to bring the Canadian women out of the terrible late 90s years. Plus she apparently got a kick out of her JSlow nickname so she obviously has a good sense of humour.
