The Traitors

2 episodes into series #4 here. No celebrities this time so hard to follow so far but hooked already.

Just watched the first episode. Crazy twist with the Secret Traitor!
Too bad she was caught so early :(.

I LOL at Alan's grand entrance. I find him so entertaining. My husband doesn't like it at all, which is why my husband will never understand figure skating.
ETA - the mission in episode 3 features some classic Johnny we all know & love from his competitive days. IYKYK, lol.
Johnny is not covering himself in glory here. Way to (not) represent, dude. I don't think anyone knows who he is; no one seems to really know Tara, either.

Ian Terry knew who Tara was but he was the first one banished, so who knows how many the rest of the cast know who they are.

Johnny didn't cover himself in glory with that mission, but it's a rare show where he isn't the most obnoxiously loud gay man in the room - that honor goes to Yam Yam IMO, which is saying something when there's also a star from RuPaul's Drag Race in the cast, lol.

Yes, but he seemed to know her only as that girl who won the Olympic medal.

Tara keeps saying that she and Johnny are trying to keep their distance so no one knows how close they are. And no one seems to. Which indicates to me that no one knows who they are, even if perhaps a couple of them knows who they were back in the day.

Or the other two. :shuffle:

The most loud and obnoxious person on the show is Michael, hands down. I assume he's straight, so maybe it's a different thing? Dunno. But I would vote for him to be a traitor just to get rid of him.

Fair point.

Well, he wasn't a detriment (apart from taking a tumble in the loch, which he recovered from pretty quickly, lol) in the boating one, same with the second one.

Oh, agreed! He's just obnoxiously loud. I assume he is straight too since Johnny didn't list him off when he was mentioning all the gays in one of his talking head snippets, lol.

I'm a little surprised he hasn't been voted out yet, though it seems like his time may be numbered since several other cast members really want him gone already, lol.

He did! In spite of being afraid of water. And I will bet it was freezing, because they are all pretty bundled up this season and Scotland isn't the warmest at the best of times.

If it's typical Traitors, he will hang around for several round tables while other people make targets of themselves. But he can go yesterday as far as I am concerned.

What was up with Eric's Liam Neeson appeal to the traitors? I have a special set of skills?

I'm torn - I do sort of want him gone because I think he's a huge distraction, though he was right about Donna being a Traitor, so maybe his instincts aren't always wrong; but, his brash, take-no-prisoners confrontational style is a bit much even for me, lol.

I have no idea what that was!

I started watching Season 4 due to this thread. I didn't watch it before. I like it so far. I'll be up late Thursday watching the next episode drop.

Apparently I am not alone.

Not as special as he thinks :shuffle:.

Poor Tarrrra--dissed by all the Traitors and utterly dismissed by Lisa Rinna :lol:. She might just win because they will never bother to get rid of her.

I'm really enjoying The Traitors. I just started watching because of Johnny and Tara. I binge watched the first three US seasons, as well.

I don't usually have Peacock, just for nationals and worlds. I'll have to work fast to watch the UK seasons before the Olympics.

Definitely not alone. Eric correctly pointed out Michael was a major distraction to the Faithful, though that wasn't what ultimately did him in this week. And, yeah, there's no way anyone believes he didn't mean exactly what they thought he meant about Colton in the roundtable.

LOL - it's certainly not his uncanny ability to identify people by their laughs while blindfolded or unable to see them.

I've been listening to several different podcasts about the show this evening, recapping & discussing the two most recent episodes and the way Tara & Johnny are currently playing is a pretty valid strategy. Mark & Stephen are also playing a similar game where they're lying low, especially in the roundtables, observing and soaking up everyone else's words & reactions, and keeping a target off their backs. They're not viewed as a danger to the Traitors the same way Monet or Colton are because they've had Lisa's name in their mouths. I don't know that I think this is by design for Tara, based on her talking head in the last episode, but they're doing well at the moment with blending in and not causing drama or declaring, absolutely, that one of their own is a Traitor with little evidence to back that assertion up.

Since they showed that little clip of Tara and Johnny saying they missed each other sooooooo much, I think their friendship will play into something later on.

Being quiet and floating along works until people decide that the people who are quiet and floating along are traitors trying to hide . It's still a little early for that, though.

I can't believe they watched Lisa go through that terrible performance about her experience in the woods and didn't say, "She's gotta be a traitor." I do think it's hilarious that Colton has finally identified an actual traitor just as people are starting to think he must be one . I also think Lisa will be the first of the Traitors to go, one way or another, unless Candiace makes a big blunder.

Rob Rausch is a great traitor so far--he participates, but just enough, and thinks things through well. Must be all that experience wrangling snakes.

Same!

And now I’ve just started Traitors UK Celebrities. lol.

It’s on Crave in Canada.

I only watched season one but I just got sucked into the first episode of this season. As I only know about 25% of these people lol what the heck is love island I’m going to watch I think.

Is that Mark’s real hair?

I could’ve sworn that in season one the identity of the traitors was kept from us the viewers…

OK I just binge watched the first two episodes, I’m gonna bring this up because it looks like no one spoke about this yet. Porscha confuse the hell out of me, I thought she would go to the end. Why did she say she killed Ian but more importantly, why did she say there’s four traitors. How would she have known that if she’s not a traitor…

I mean would the producers of told her to say that to throw everybody off, but that would not be legal I don’t think. It is so weird. Why would you have said all the things only a traitor would know up to that point…

I was never going to vote her off and then I was like OK vote off Porscha. She’s sketchy as heck. It doesn’t make sense how they’re editing it or something…

Rob, one of the traitors is so freaking going into my harem. He must be in one of those shows like love island, or some thing I don’t ever watch.

Yes, @AngieNikodinovLove, Rob is from Love Island. Wait until you see him in Episodes 4 & 5... you're going to be drooling like Johnny, lol.

She was just speculating based on 3 traitors on other seasons + 1 secret traitor.

But yeah it was weird how certain she was.

I think Rob R is going to the final.

He’s great as a traitor.

In episode three, I would’ve murdered Johnny, how embarrassing for an athlete to walk like an old woman finding skulls lol, by the time he came back with his 10 skulls the entire game is already over… He didn’t fight for his partner at all. But Tara Lipinski, honey, she came.
