This may be my favorite choreography of all of the Richter Four Seasons programs we've seen the last few years. Very good! IAMO giving stronger programs than the senior teams at the IAM camp :-P

Layla Veillon/Alexander Brandys 🇨🇦
Rank after RD: 6
Coach: S. Moir, C. Moir, A. Diaz, M. Hubbell
Music: Summer 2 by Max Richter

One Foot Turns W:1 M:1
Choreo Spinning Movement
Straight Line Lift 4
Dance Spin 4
Choreo Character Step Sequence
Synchronized Twizzles W:4 M:4
Diagonal Step Sequence W:1 M:1

Stationary Lift 4

A strong comeback after the mistake in the rhythm dance yesterday. A little more cautious with the twizzles today to make sure they got them in.

93.03 = 1st Place
145.73 = 1st Place

I'm obviously more lenient towards juniors but VeBras are really enjoyable. Can't say they are slower or have less thought out choreography than Gilles/Poirier.

I would guess they lost a level on the twizzles, but to their credit - the stupid midline choreo sequence didn't look TOO stupid, even if it is indeed something even I can do.

V/B

Nice comeback skate. Seamless program construction performed with conviction and solid edges (didn’t get the turns and steps levels, though). Reminded me of Weaver/Poje

Almost an abandon into everything, especially those twizzles. Great fun but the ChSt was very skimpy and just not the finish or line of the Canadians. I'd have the PCS quite a bit lower-- enough to drop them behind in the FD (not overall with the difference in the RD).

Mouaden/Bigot - nice use of traditonal dance holds and fantastic rotational lift! Twizzles a bit wild.

I enjoyed the Junior Rhythm Dance as a whole more than the seniors and thought it was just because there was a pattern, but I seem to be enjoying the free dance more as well so far. :shuffle:

Dania Mouaden/Theo Bigot 🇫🇷
Rank after RD: 5
Coach: Barbara Piton
Music: Nature Boy (Acoustic), Bad Guy (Clone Mix)

Straight Line Lift 3 (4 after review)
One Foot Turns W:2 M:1
Circular Step Sequence W:2 M:1
Dance Spin
4 (3 after review)
Rotational Lift 4
Choreo Character Step Sequence
Synchronized Twizzles
W:4 M:3 (W:4 M:2 after review)
Choreo Dance Lift

Quirky, and engaging performance. Finding an interesting, and unique way in and out of the elements, and merged the two pieces of music into one concise program.

89.84 = 2nd Place
149.74 = 1st Place

Watching Dania and Theo must be like people watching Tessa and Scott ca. 2004. So much talent.

I was literally lol-ing on the Bad Guy part. Oh that's fun.

The first part is way too slow and way too long, and their deficiencies are really obvious - they are just too small to have the same lines and coverage as the Canadians did. But oh, Bad Guy part was just too much :lol:
The twizzles are the highlight of the program, and as I was saying to @cholla 's slave before, these two are just superstars with buckets of charisma, which is much more important than marks on this stage.

SlLi up from 3 --> 4
DSp down from 4 --> 3
His twizzles down from 3 --> 2

Mouaden/Bigot

Fantastic unison, rotational lift that looked unique and difficult, placed the twizzles toward the end and they were so spot on, performing toward the crowd—could use a bit more expression choreographed toward each other, good skate

Well, it was always hard to keep my attention after the little M/Big, but RoRo would have been a fridge break with this program at any location and competition.

Nice lines, I guess. Boring as hell. Really couldn't say what's going on there, I'm just dozing out.

They seem to be nice kids. They deserve better. And so do I.

Jasmine Robertson/Chase Rohner 🇺🇸
Rank after RD: 4
Coach: I. Shpilband, P. Camerlengo, N. Deller
Music: Notre Dame de Paris

Double fall on the opening choreography section
Synchronized Twizzles W:4 M:4
One Foot Turns W:2 M:2

Dance Spin 4 - Jasmine slipped to one knee on the entry, fall
Diagonal Step Sequence W:1 M:1
Curve Lift 4
Rotational Lift 4
Choreo Character Step Sequence

Choreo Sliding Movement

Such a shame to have the mistake on the opening few steps of the program, and it clearly unsettled them for the rest of the performance.

-3.00 = Falls
79.85 = 3rd Place
140.29 = 3rd Place

Robertson/Rohner

Fall right at beginning (I missed—was reading y’all’s comments on French team), got through turns okay, negative GOE on dance spin, too many errors today to set the mood in the program, inexperience showing today

Robertson/Rohner - Oh no, fall at the start - not sure what happened! They seem a little less polished than the previous two teams though maybe the fall contributed.

Does Notre Dame de Paris count as a war horse yet?

After the nightmare start, everything seemed tight and don't think either of them have the posture or overall skating showcased with this music.

Judges doing a good job of having scores reflect what skaters showed on ice today. Lots of movement in this competition
