Practice reports - SkAm 2025 in Lake Placid

Ice dance ladies get so tiffed for practice compared to singles. Not just the costumes, but hair and makeup. I guess they can’t let the judges find out those aren’t their natural perfect curls…
Just so you know, 6 of the 8 pairs teams were fully tiffed this morning in their SP costumes.
I'm not sure if this is the proper place to ask this question but why can't I see a tile on Peacock for the men's short program?
There isn't one as far as anyone has found. We might all be living by VPN for the Men's SP unless Peacock gets its act together in the next few hours.

AH Black said in the Streaming thread that some tiles cover 2 competitions for Skate America, and if you click on the pairs tile, it indicates a duration of over 3 hours, which would cover the men too.

It very well may, but usually Peacock has separate tiles for each competition segment, just like the ISU has separate streams.

New SP costume for Jason! Black with lots of gold sparkles in a Celtic knot design over the shoulders with vertical lines ombre-ing from gold to green coming down to the waist on the front & back of the torso in a V.
This sounds gorgeous!

Looks like Japanese beetles (which look similar to lady bugs). They are very odiferous when you smash them.
That's exactly what they are - you find them "swarming" outside in the Fall trying to get inside for the winter. They sneak in through the smallest openings and then appear anywhere in the winter 🤮 [I have nicknamed them "stink beetles" for the odour when you crush them.]

Here in the rink. Metelkina and Berulava are SO GOOD. The throws are insane. SBS sequence perfect and so close together.
As much as I disliked their milking Junior for all they could milk, I admit that they are growing on me. There is no denying their ability to get every possible point from the jumps and throws. And he seems to be trying to improve his expression.

I was a big fan back in the day of Tai and Randy. They skated like a PAIR! That is what I like to see. I like jumps and spins to be close together, not miles apart. I love the pair look that M/B have, they also skate like a PAIR. And it is why I am not a fan of M/K...their jumps are so far apart and I just don't see them as a pair on the ice, they may have speed and I love fast skaters but when it is so obvious they have unequal skills, just doesn't impress me.

Anyone know why Tali Lafornara wd from SA? Are they injured?was looking forward to seeing them.

We had those here once. They started appearing everywhere one warm fall and I suffered many bites from them while working on my never-ending leaves. (Since lady bugs don't bite they were obviously something different. Also they were more orange than red and had fewer spots.) Fortunately they were unable to survive our winter and haven't reappeared as yet.
