The scores look low. I didn't watch... were the women "womenning?"

I watched Ava’s short program for a second time I have to say it’s quite interesting and quite good. I really like her skating.
Having watch that combination spin two times now what was wrong with it that made invalid? I can’t tell.
That was my thought yesterday after the SP.And with these two performances, I think Elyce Lin-Gracey’s Olympic bid is all but over. With three US women in the top five in the world, you can’t score 101 in the free skate and 154 overall even once and expect to be in consideration.
At this point, I’d say Sarah Everhardt is the only potential spoiler barring injury to the existing top three.
. I had a feeling this might happen. She doesn’t look back to full strength yet. She did well to get through the short program, spin aside.Nope, I was asleep. I guess that's consolation to Elyce - she did beat the reigning 4CCs champ.Did anyone see Chayeon? What happened to her? 92 in the free skate?!
I agree this wasn't unexpected, but I'm pleased she had a good short. I'm holding out hope that she improves as the season continues and think she has a shot a 4C assignment.Eek, rough skate from Ziegler. 84 total free skate score. I had a feeling this might happen. She doesn’t look back to full strength yet. She did well to get through the short program, spin aside.
I'm glad she went for it - hope to see some video laterSara Maude went for the 3A - stepped out and fast 3-turns on the landing. We'll see what the tech panel does with it on review.

From the protocols, it appears that they considered it rotatedSara Maude went for the 3A - stepped out and fast 3-turns on the landing. We'll see what the tech panel does with it on review.

whose quad was much cleaner than Dupuis’s triple axel. There are probably other firsts that need to be recalculated if all one needs to do is rotate and stay upright.Yeah, I think Skate Canada was just giddy on talking about it but it shouldn't really count as 'landed'. But anyways, she can do it and I hope she lands it leading into Nationals. The standard in the past has always been landing a jump on one foot cleanly with no touch of the free foot. Stepping out of a jump has never counted. If it does, Kurt Browning should relinquish his “first quad” title to Jozef Sabovcikwhose quad was much cleaner than Dupuis’s triple axel. There are probably other firsts that need to be recalculated if all one needs to do is rotate and stay upright.
Yes, I think it was relatively later in her career like 2000 Canadian Open? that they mentioned it.Josee Chouinard landed some beautiful triple axels in practice, but never attempted one. I remember she was at one point thinking about attempting one as a pro.

International competitionSo, who's going to go tag Skate Canada in their social media posts about Sara Maude's 3A and point out hers isn't the first attempt by a Canadian lady that was stood up?![]()
This is sad. I like her. Similar to Hana who is also struggling this season, she has a unique presentation that I find interesting.Kim, C. seems to have lost her consistency in the worst possible season.![]()

International competition
Ahhhh... Of course! I mean, per the rule book it's a ratified 3A attempt, so here we are. The jump did look fully rotated, even if she did stumble out of the landing.Their post said "in international competition"![]()
