Lombardia Trophy - Women's SP & FS

I’d just have her skate to warhorses and be done with it for this season. And then make a bigger run at actually working on her expression (and posture) in the future and try in small doses to get something more out of her. But she’s not ready for that now.
Sarah was interviewed on Polina Edmunds podcast, and Sarah said that her parents were keen on having her have some kind of character to portray to get her to emote more. I’m not sure that’s going to work. Sara actually likes classical music a lot. That would seem to be a better way to go.

I think a skater needs to skate to what they are comfortable with. Its very personal. So I do not think its a wise decision.

Catching up some more. Alysa's short is nice. It doesn't have the impact of last year's, but it's still nice.

Rino's Nutcracker free suits her so beautifully. If ONLY she could get those jumps together. :wall:

Finally caught up.

After reading the obituary-like notices here, I was pleasantly surprised by Alysa. She will be just fine.

Sarah skated great but that LP dress is one of the ugliest costumes I've ever seen. I'd be tempted to dock -5 points just for that hideosity.

I enjoyed Rion. For me, Ami skated nicely but was forgettable.

'obituary-like notices' 🤣🤣🤣

Alysa's main problem seemed (in hindsight) to be her broken, heavily taped up boots, not so much a problem of stamina as some thought. Surely the boot issues very much hampered not only her skating and jumps, but her on ice training leading up to the event. Paraphrasing, but in the GSK8 interview Alysa said that even her better jumps felt 'weird'. Crossing fingers,🤞🏼 and lighting candles again 🕯️ in the hopes that Alysa can resolve her boot problems very soon, so that she can train, and compete, up to speed.

I like Sarah's Riverdance SP very much, it suits her. Imo, her FS is interesting but she currently doesn't skate, or perform up to the choreography that was given to her. She's still so deadpan out there. I guess I'm in the minority, but I think her dress has a unique design and is quite lovely.

I love Sarah's free skate dress, too.
