He's hardly the first Russian to make the country switch - or at least attempt it - and not even the first for the German fed, so I fail to see what the issue is. He's not been able to compete internationally since he left Russia and he's been in Italy for at least a year now, partnered with a Chinese skater - that didn't work out, in part because the CFSA didn't request a release for him (see the Chinese news thread for the details).Hmmmm.... what to think about this?
