Junior Grand Prix 2025/26

The Baku and Gdansk announcements are up on the ISU website. The US men picked up an extra spot for both. Thank you New Zealand 🙏
Well, actually, thank you Germany & Estonia for passing on the extra spots. It won't surprise me if the US Men pick up an extra spot in Abu Dhabi once that event announcement is posted.

So, far, additional spots picked up -
Men - USA 2 (Ankara, Varese, Baku & Gdansk)
Women & Pairs - none
Dance - Ukraine 2 (Riga & Ankara), France 3 (Riga, Ankara & Bangkok), Canada 2 (Ankara & Bangkok)

For Abu Dhabi -
Men - doubtful that any spots will be reallocated - Slovakia is holding on to all of theirs and, obviously, neither Japan nor Korea are going to relinquish any spots this far out.
Women - no spots will be relinquished
Dance - we know Canada didn't pick up any extra spots - next in line, should Italy or Germany relinquish spots would be Ukraine & France - seems possible given the depleted Italian jr ice dance field.

Hello,

I think Chile will not be taking the women's spot for Riga.
Who will benefit from it?
No one. The only spots that are reallocated are the ones from Groups A-C in the general JGP Announcement.

Group A - member federations ranked 1-3 at Jr Worlds (JPN, KOR & USA) - 2 spots in each JGP = 14 spots for each member
Group B - member federations ranked 4-6 at Jr Worlds (FRA, GEO, EST) - 1 spot in each JGP = 7 spots for each member
Group C - member federations ranked 7-10 at Jr Worlds (SUI, AUS, FIN, CHN) - 1 spot in 6 JGPs = 6 spots for each member

None of those countries are relinquishing any of their spots.
