Apparently Mao and Kana, Daisuke and Tomoki did same-gender pair moves. Cool!

This year's theme is Rock'n'Roll and the finale uses Guns N' Roses music.

Kao Miura skated a new exhibition program to IZMN (by Number_i) that was very high-energy, intense, and danceable. He said choreographed it by himself this April.

Hello. I will be in Japan June 4-July 5. I am interested in going to one of Shoma Uno's Ice Brave shows. I see that I can toggle the website to get to English, which is good, as I do not read Japanese. Any advice on making the purchase with an American credit card? Tips on which city/arena or seat to choose? I am grateful for any insight.

Unfortunately buying tickets for Japanese shows can be challenging. If the tickets are electronic, you need a cell phone with a Japanese phone number because you need to do two factor authentication to create an account for the websites which sell tickets online, although I am not familiar with the buying process for Shoma's show since this is new this year.

The best way is to find someone living in Japan who can help you buy a ticket.

Thank you for your reply. I will probably get a Japanese SIM when I get to Japan next week, so I guess I will chance it and try to arrange a ticket/a visit to either Aichi or Fukuoka when I arrive.

For Shoma show you can buy paper ticket at 7/11 convenience store. The same machine that does copy has touch panel for PIA tickets. You need to enter the show code, it's on Shoma show website. The machine is all in Japanese, just show the link to Shoma show (tickets part) to 7/11 staff and tell them you want to buy tickets. They will help you to use the machine. Use Google translator to communicate with them.

Thanks for the info!

Question since I have not read much yet about Japan: what would be the pros/cons of selecting Aichi vs. Fukuoka as a place to visit?

It depends on your travel plans.
Aichi is in the center of Japan, while Fukuoka is located in the south.
Obviously, Aichi is much closer to Tokyo, should you choose to do the rest of your activities there.

Ice Brave official website lists 4 ticket agencies and Lawson is the only one that seems to sell tickets at the kiosk (called Loppi) in the Lawson convenience store.

You can get the QR code here to buy the ticket at Loppi for the shows in Aich:

For shows in Fukuoka, you can get the code here:

It looks like all premium S seats were sold out for both places. Arena S seats are still available, and there are a few stand S seats left. You need to buy them before June 11.

Before 11th is for online purchases because they need time to deliver paper tickets.
I prefer PIA at 7/11 because the machine is more convenient. But Loppi is fine too. PIA sells at 7/11 till 13th. Yes, you can buy at the shop too. It's called here outside the internet (stroll down)
You will need to put your name in katakana. Use Google translator, make a screen shot and then just touch the right button on the screen. You don't need a Japanese SIM card for paper ticket. You can put your hotel telephone number, there are no messages to confirm. You will need this information (name and telephone number) in case the show is cancelled and you want a refund. Better to ask 7/11 staff to help you to make sure you buy the right ticket. After ordering go to the register and pay within 30 minutes or your order will be cancelled.
Definitely Aichi. It's a Shoma's home land, so the fans will be louder. Plus Aichi is much closer to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka. Fukuoka is far.

I am so grateful for your help. I did have someone at 7-11 help me get a ticket for Shoma's show in Aichi. I will be in Tokyo around the time of Daisuke's Hyo-en show, so I will probably go to the same 7-11 tomorrow to get help for that!

If you have any advice, tips, info, etc. about attending either event, please let me know. Also: I will look up things to do in Nagoya, but I am also happy to learn of any advice for some time there. It is so exciting to be in Japan for the first time, and I look forward to at least one ice show here.

For Hyo-en, the employee at 7-11 didn’t know how to help me out. I can try another location, but is there a particular link to choose? It seemed that there were 4 links for the purchase of the Shona show, but that’s just my brain looking at the site.

Pia doesn't sell tickets for this show at 7/11 convenience store. You have to buy online and then they will issue you a paper ticket at 7/11. Pia site requires registration with valid phone number and a credit card accepted by the seller (sometimes they don't accept credit cards issued by non-Japanese banks). Same with Lawson.

Go to Family mart convenience store. Another seller E-plus sells tickets for this show in Family mart. Use the machine attached to multi copy machine, has different touch screen. E-plus doesn't use code system. You have to touch buttons ticket-sport-figure/winter in katakana and then you see the list of shows. Choose Hyoen and then the show and seat you want. Input your name and phone, same as you did in 7/11, take your paper with barcode, pay at register and get your paper ticket. You can ask Family mart staff to help you. Show them this link

Ice Brave will be held this weekend and Shoma and Marin seems to perform a duet!

Ice Brave (Shoma Uno Ice Show)

A fan told us that Stephane Lambiel skated to spiegel im spiegel in a costumes that was see-through on the upper body.

She was also very surprised that the ice dance by Marin and Shoma was quite authentic, including three-consecutive twizzles, lifts and dance spin.

Some photos from the show!

I was very impressed with the show. Tight, professional, interesting choreography and no filler. Shoma and Stephane are both so special. I’d rather watch them any day than those who got gold medals over them!! The lines for the women’s restrooms were very long. I waltzed into a men’s room and was alone for about 30 seconds 🤣🤣🤣.
