Brown had a solid showing at Finlandia - scoring equal to his 2021 Worlds mark. I think he is in good early season form and would be shocked if he's off the podium. The rest of the men... Messing seems to be a cut above them in terms of consistency though his FS at Finlandia wasn't great but the three Russians here aren't exactly models of consistency and the less said about Romsky and Tomoki right now the better. Maybe Morisi?

At the same I feel Like Brown could be off the podium if others hit their technical content, because sometimes Grand Prix events are wacky.

Wow. I track the results pretty well - Chen, Messing, Brown.

Question. Should Nathan scale back a bit to right his footing? If he would have executed a 3Z and 3S at SkAm, he would've beaten Shoma for 2nd place and I think it would be enough to win SC. I just wonder with the competition being so soon after SkAm, he has not had a lot of time to change his mindset, so it might be better to be a little safe and solid

As odd as it might sound, I wonder if taking a leave of absence from school is hurting Nathan, as he doesn't have that distraction (for lack of a better word) that he's had for the last few seasons. With the entirety of the focus on training for Beijing, it might be putting more pressure on him, which could be hurting him, in a way, and taking him out of the routine he's been following for the last few years.

Anyway, I voted Nathan, Keegan and Jason, though who the heck knows? I feel like Roman might go out there with something to prove, and he could be an absolute wild card (I predict he'll either medal, or be near the bottom - no in-between).

Two words - Debi Thomas. FTR, they are not similar at all in personality. But she did the same thing in her Olympic season. Again, I stress that I don’t think he will follow her trajectory. However, SC is quite important now
