I think they have binders with a bunch of possible celebrities who could fit the clues for each dancer and they take notes about the clue packages.

But no, the audience is not there and wasn't for last round of Masked Singer either. They edit it together with audience reactions from past shows. There is even a disclaimer at the end of the show during the credits if you can click your 'pause' button quick enough to read it.

I don't know why the judges keep saying that Cotton Candy could be Simone. Even with a costume on there is no way that girl in that costume fits Simone's very short stature and body type.

Now that we're pretty positive we know who Sloth is, when I go back and watch his performances its like ... oh yeah, that's him. You can see the swager even thru the costume. :rofl:

And here I thought I was the only one who knew who sloth was. Some of his clues:

* moving from another country and speaking a different language

* when complimented on his comedic performances and asking if that was his background, he said that he was "all about the drama"

* his one-word real voice responses (even his deep voice is sexy)

* his most recent real-voice one-word clue was "rose" (he was on the Ukraine version of The Bachelor)
 
The last package had his “I’m sex on a stick“ quote. All the other hints are his partners on DWTS

I doubt it would be Simone because she'd be more focused on Olympics training than a dancing TV show. Sloth is absolutely Maks. This week I even noticed that the voice sounds like his.

I also agree that the judges are probably given a list of like 100 names and are told that all the celebrities are on that list. Hence why they know these obscure facts, because they get to research from a small list.

I forget whether it was the tulip or the cotton candy, but one of the circled clues this week was an iced coffee with a star on the cup. That made me think of 'stars on ice'...

It was Tulip and it was, some people believe, a reference to her time on Dance Moms.

Oh I've known Cotton Candy was Gabby Douglas since Day 1. I meant that why do the Judges keep saying its Simone when clearly just looking at the girl in the costume if you know who Simone Biles is by sight, there's no way you could think the girl in that costume is her. They filmed this whole show back in October 2020.

I still have no clue who the Zebra is. Those clues means nothing to me. And neither do the names the judges keep saying. :rofl:

Oh the names they're throwing out I recognize as famous boxers/fighters, but they still mean nothing to me since I know next to nothing about the sport, lol. I do, think, though, that the judges are right about him being a boxer/fighter of some sort based on his stance and the way he moves, especially his feet.

Oscar De La Hoya has been mentioned by the judges once or twice. That's who I've been thinking it is.

Ding ding ding! I just searched “De La Hoya news” and voila, several articles today about his getting his license back and planning a comeback.
 
Did someone feed the judges all the information/told them what to guess? Because some seem to have gone from clueless to getting it right all of a sudden. Also, when Ashley guessed Mackenzie she said that her packages talk about a sister. They never mention sister, they mention "best bud". I swear, not once did any of her packages use the word sister.
Well, we got the correct top three. I'll be okay with whoever wins.

Oh, I think the judges 100% have been fed some information. I don't recall Ashley guessing Maddie Ziegler in a previous episode, so when she pulled Mackenzie out thin air tonight, after suddenly Paula is guessing Gabby and Maks when she's never mentioned those names before...

I do think, though, that there have been some "little sister" or "in the shadow of a sibling" references though, because the judges have guessed Hailey Duff and Jamie Spears based on the clue package and specifically referenced that their older, more famous sisters. And, plus, Brian guessed tonight that she's Miley Cyrus' younger sister. Maybe the judges were told to keep looking for famous sisters in the entertainment industry? Maybe next week we'll have some wild guess that it's Ashley/ee? Simpson, lol.

I don't know how Brian, who has previously guessed Maks, veered to his brother Val with that clue package - I mean, there was an ICE SKATER hint for one of his previous partners! I don't even watch DWTS but, if you've already guessed Maks once and you see an ice skater as a previous partner hint, how the heck do you deviate from that guess?

I was pretty convinced until tonight's clues that Cotton Candy was Tara or Michelle but I'll give it to @BaileyCatts for picking up on it being Gabby Douglas from the get-go. All the cities in the "world tour" were Olympic cities, most notably London and Rio, and in the "undercover clue" she said fierce. Again... Duh, lol. But, yeah, Paula was probably told something like "you're very very warm but Simone is busy training for Tokyo, so no."

Cotton Candy dance tonight sealed it Very gymasticy. I’m on the Gabby train now too. I could see Maks’ mannerisms through. If anyone took the free dance with me USA courses you will know what I mean. No doubt tulip is Mackenzie. They even had the Z she called herself Mac Z
 
I said I'd be happy with whoever won, so I'm glad Gabby won. I knew she'd be saving up the tumbling for the finale, or otherwise it'd be too obvious that she's a gymnast. Now, even after those tricks, two of the judges insisted on Tara and Michelle. I know that some skaters can do gymnastics, but in a puffy costume with a giant head? Also, a tuck front connected to stag screams gymnast (flip+jump = classic beam connection).
 
I’m pretty sure Tara and Michelle thought it was funny that anyone could believe they could do those tricks. Gabby was the best last night and deserved the win but I wanted Maks to win

Yeah. Me too. I loved how much fun he had with his performances. I didn't know he could be so funny.
