It's very Gershwinny. I think it might be a take on Summertime. T/D used Summertime by Larry Adler back in the day. I suspect this might be related.

Well thank ya, it's not summertime. Your lead sent me to a song that Larry Adler performed called Le Grisbi. I think that's it. I found it by someone else and it sounds pretty close. Whatcha think?

I saw that someone posted that and I listened to all of the tracks from the movie. It didn't sound familiar.

I use the soundhound app on my cell. I used it for their program.......all the way through it. Nada. Summertime is too well known for it not to be id'd, no matter what version it is. It came up with it doesn't recognize it or some phrasing like that. It asked me if I wanted to id the music. Similar sound......

Based on the chord structure, and the fact there are remnants of the summertime melody I still beli that is what that is. It might also be the instrumental part of vocal recording. An example of the type of track it might be from is as follows-

I can hear the influence. It also reminds me in places of St. James Infirmary.
