So... I thought I'd start a DWTS discussion thread for discussing what actually happens in the show (premiere tonight!), as opposed to debating the various aspects of The Great Knee Whack Saga and posting about Jeff Whatshisname etc.
(NB: If you read the previous sentence and suddenly feel the urge to post about all that plus Nicole Bobek, remember there's already this thread for doing just that!)

Since the All-Athletes Edition of DWTS is only 4 weeks long, I think having just one thread instead of episode specific threads could work...? Or if you think having separate threads for each episode would work better, let me know and I'll edit the thread title!

I just think having the GSD DWTS thread (AKA the Tonya thread), a non-knee whack DWTS discussion thread (this), AND a separate thread for the premiere would be a bit too much...? So I think I'm going to edit the thread title and turn this thread into the premiere thread.

ETA: People Now had Adam do a little "Behind The Scenes" thingy (skip to the 14 min mark). Mirai & Alan make an appearance, too!

One thread for the whole series is fine. Its only on for 7 hours! Don't need separate threads for each episode. I don't think there were separate threads for full seasons recently, just one for the whole season.
 
You know, it really sucks that Arike can do absolutely nothing to promote herself and participate in all the perks/fun of being on DWTS that everyone else gets to do. I've seen no interviews on the entertainment shows, she's not in the commercials, she doesn't even have an intro video clip on the DWTS page on abc.com, just the head shot on the Cast List. Does she even get to keep any of the $$ everyone usually gets for being on the show, or does she have to donate that to charity to not violate NCAA rules?

I haven't watched in several years. I'd forgotten how annoying the judges are. I'm not sure I can watch 4 weeks.

Agreed... I don't know how much I am going to watch and how much i am going to look for recaps. I don't mind the idea of reality TV... but the whole host/judges/elimination/manufactured drama... just does not do it for me.
 
I wish it were just Len judging. Bruno makes me cringe. Occasionally he or Carrie-Ann will offer insight, but very rarely.

Geez, could they make that just a little bit more annoying? I wonder how many people will bother going thru the 11tyhundred steps to sign up to vote. :blah: I better not have to go back and do anything "after the final dance" to make sure my votes count. I may or may not have multiple accounts. :rofl:
