Yep, I do. Like she said the "fault" is not one of course, she & Fabian used to be more of an athletic team but they compensate by having very interesting programs so there was a very nice balance. They weren't doing crazy lifts or crazy tricks for the sake of doing them. I loved their circus FD :encore:
 
She's right when she says that their weakness isn't really one but can be perceived as such. We don't "see" the effort and instead of considering it a prowess, some make the deduction that it must be easy. It's even more the case when facing a team like V/M whose programs (particularly this year) are really demonstrative (almost "in your face").

She talks about her stress level during this season, their training process, V/M, P/C, H/D and the Danes switching to Canada plus doesn't even want to talk about the Spanish scandal between H/K and S/D.
I don't watch TSL anymore but Dave diluted down the snarks and let her speak so not too bad.
Not so much about Gaby and Guillaume but how mortified she was about the dress malfunction and how perfectionists they are esp. Guillaume. I would have liked to hear more about how their programs were created and the process but obviously Dave wanted to know more about MR.
In Milan news, they arrived in Italy and the first practices will be Tuesday morning, so I hope for plenty of fan videos this time around. Hopefully, they'll have a positive experience from beginning to end this time around and finish on a high.

Not even PapaCiz related, even Maddie & Zach did not in the FD too (Twizzles + choreo twizzles) so...
Not even talking about the SD. Hoping to see an ISU rule soon, because 2 costumes issues in one Olympics (Gabby + Yura Min) is a bit too much, you should be allowed to fix that (even if you can't resart the element).

Just to tell you that today's SD practice in PR was more than great! They definitely enjoy this samba/rumba short dance with the Ed Sheeran's music. They were already extremely well prepared for Olys and let's have Guillaume sew the dress himself (like in Grenoble and Clermont-Ferrand shows after OG) so they will be on the safe side.

Wow. These pictures are truly divine. (I'm in love with the second one). I literally can't believe the last competition of this season starts tomorrow. That's just... insane. We better get ready and enjoy it as much as possible! :cheer2:(Finally watching it live won't mean getting up at 3 am, yeay! :lol:)

Welcome on this board, what a pleasure to see you here. BTW did you take some videos from the SD practice ? Did she practice in her dress ? I hope they'll use the old top which looks less heavy than the one at the Olympics.

Someone in this very thread linked to a pro-P/C Tumblr where the poster was doing exactly what you said above - writing actual essays about why P/C were robbed, V/M didn't deserve to win, etc. On every YouTube video of P/C or V/M, there are crazy P/C fans who rant about how awful V/M are and use insults such as calling Tessa fat, saying Scott skates "like a pimp", etc. And here at FSU, which is what I was talking about in the first place (not Twitter, not other forms of social media), P/C fans have invaded the V/M fan thread just as much as the other way around, especially since this season began.

As for "nobody is actually whining", well... that's your opinion. If the situation had been reversed and V/M fans were flooding a thread with posts that said they would have won if not for... (insert unlucky/potentially avoidable situation here), I'm fairly certain that fans from the P/C side would consider that whining. And that's not the only type of post since the Olympics that I have thought was whining from the other side, but again, YMMV.

FWIW, this is nothing to do with the skaters - I have said many times on this board that P/C are probably my second-favourite current dance team after V/M and I think they were much closer and more worthy rivals for V/M than, say, D/W were. I follow this thread every now and again because I am interested in P/C's skating, not because I am policing the thread for anti-V/M posts or am "insecure" or "defensive" on their behalf. I am not among the contingent that thinks they can't skate or that they should be placed lower for "always skating the same program". I think they seem like lovely people and I wish them the best in their continued competitive career. I just hate the hypocrisy of the P/C fan contingent on this board and will continue to call it out when I see it.

It is entirely possible to love both teams. They are so different it is almost like it 2 separate events.V/m I have been following (not stalking) since they were little little and I love Tessa's dancing talent and the perfection of their movements so they are my favs but I have preferred the short dance vibe of P/C's programs the last 2 yrs and although V/M free dances are more to my taste and I prefer their elements when I watch P/c in their free's I am completely lost in another world. They just seem to draw me in and sometimes I cannot recall after what they actually did as far as movements. So I love them both and want to see them both. I will be jumping in P/C's threads to see how they are doing.

Yep, just discovering this forum. I used to post exclusively on GS but this won't be the case anymore, that's for sure. During Worlds, I will post my comments here.

OK, back to ice dance, Gaby and Guillaume delivered another great SD performance today's morning at PR. Gaby was dressed like at Olys and Guillaume was wearing the sleeveless shirt. I may post the videos later on. If I do so, it will be late in the evening but I wil let you know for sure on FSU.
They were once again extremely focused on the performance. It's really obvious they want to end up this season with something huge. They are true competitors first and it's also so important moving forward. They have to take decisions about the next season and moreover the future Olympic cycle. Their performance at Worlds is one key of this whole decision process.

If there are anymore costume problems with anyone I hope spectators jump on the ice so they have to stop the program and let the girls get dressed. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd all door monitors need to be armed with staplers. Just saying.
 
Gaby and Guillaume are about to finish this season then they will be touring in France with the French Figure Skating team for about 1 month and will participate to different shows.
This season reaching its end, they will have to take some decision about the future. Whatever decision they take, this decision will be widely commented as they are the top ice dance couple.

For now, they target to deliver an outstanding SD. They have so much fun to perform it since the beginning of the season. Big thanks to Chris Dean w/o who I’m afraid we would have seen the same nightmare we saw with last season SD. The Ed Sheeran SD is a brilliant ice dance moment which demonstrates the versatility and the huge potential of Gaby and Guillaume for latin dances. They must now break the SD WR. They are ready for this since weeks. They worked like they never did. They deserve it.
