The cast seems like a package of all italians who did not make it :saint:
There are also Plushenko, Lambiel, Arakawa, Duhamel/Radford and Davis/White if you noticed. It's almost always been like that - there are the "big stars" who have their solo numbers, and then there are the skaters of "lower" caliber who do the group numbers. The only difference is that their names were not included in the official cast list before, and we were left guessing/trying to recognize/remember who was who. I think this is a nice change.

Of course I did notice, my post was obviosly only connected to the italian entries.
I like the inclusion of their names in the official cast lists, too :respec:

So, today they had a pre-show like in previous two years, it is open only for invited guests, part of them employees of "Intimissimi" from different countries.
From what was already posted on Instagram:

This looks like such an extraordinary event. How is it possible for there to be 'economics' to support such a production? Did they have significant anchor sponsorship? Or is it that skating in this luxurious and extraordinary form is truly embraced and supported in Italy especially? Simply cannot imagine anything remotely approaching this type of show in the US. Japan, and soon China maybe. But not in the U.S. sadly.

I believe Intimissimi is the main sponsor. It looked like they had several models promoting their brand on the red carpet event they had. They are promoting it on social media. They also had a lot of italian celebrities attending the show. This show is produced by the same people that do some of the Olympic ceremony type events so it is very professionally done. They also combined the skating with Andrea Boccelli who is a legend himself. They have all four things going for them- Acts, production, promotion and venue. That makes a good formula as seen by sold out shows for both days. The reviews on facebook were very positive.
