New Ladies Podium... Again!

Seeing how this is the 2nd year in a row we get a ladies podium with no repeat medalists at Worlds, has this ever happened before?

To be honest i think most everyone knew in 2007 there would be a totally new podium. Mao and Yuna were now eligible for Worlds and Sasha was done.

And there is a good chance it will be completely different again next year! With the depth of Russian ladies, it is quite possible neither of the current Russians on the podium will even make it to Worlds next year. I find that possibility very strange, but if you had told me last that Tuk would not be a Worlds, I wouldn't have believed it. Ashley could be the spoiler, so to speak, for an all new podium in 2017. Fingers crossed she can stay injury free!
