Kitty and Peter Caruthers were a US brother/sister pairs team, I believe in the 80's. You can google
them for their competitive record. Also Peter Caruthers had a longtime career as a figure skater commentator
in the US after his retirement.

So Virtue/Moir with two wins are the only team really officially qualified at this point.

Papadakis/Cizeron and the Shibutanis, both skating at home in their second events, only likely need a bronze medal to qualify.

Hubbell/Donohue best Bobrova/Soloviev, both with 2nd & 3rd place finishes, based on the overall combined scores from both competitions.

Weaver/Poje and Chock/Bates face each other in France this weekend. With P/C likely for the gold, whichever team finishes 2nd will also qualify to the Final. The 3rd place finishers will go into a tiebreak with Hubbell/Donohue.

With a bronze medal, Weaver/Poje would need to earn at least 187.78 points to pass H/D. They earned 190.01 at Skate Canada. Chock/Bates would have to earn 193.19 or more. Their total score in China was 184.50. So the Americans are really hoping for a silver and a guaranteed ticket to the GPF.

Cappellini/Lanotte are probably favored for silver at Skate America behind the Shibutanis (although their total scores from their first events are only 3 points different). They would need 191.23 points to pass H/D on the big 2nd & 3rd place tiebreak that is going to happen.

And then I would guess:
Weaver/Poje
Hubbell/Donohue

And then either Chock/Bates or Cappellini/Lanotte. If C/B win the silver medal in France, they are definitely in and W/P are still likely to be in too. If they win bronze, it'll be close between them and the Italians for the final spot. It will be interesting to see if politics play a part at Skate America against the Italians to hold their event total score down low enough that the Americans win the tie-break. Then again, they could upset and win the event and none of this will matter.

If Chock/Bates win silver, then I think WeaPo will be in over Cappellini/Lanotte unless C/L score like 77+ and 115+ at Skate America (assuming that WeaPo score lower at TdF than they did at Skate Canada if they end up with bronze). I don’t see that happening because if that were to happen and the Shibs skate well, then they’d probably score 117+ in the FD and as much as I am more than ready for that to happen I don’t think the rest of the world is.

If Chock/Bates win bronze, then I can see their comparatively low SD score at CoC doing them in and having them miss the GPF with Cappellini/Lanotte making it. Hubbell/Donohue are already in IMO as they have already beaten Bobrova/Soloviev in the tie break and I don't see C/B scoring so well at TdF to overtake H/D's scores with their CoC deficit...and C/L are going to have to score extremely well in both phases at Skate America to overtake the deficit they have against H/D not only at CoC but H/D's scores at Skate Canada.

The JGPF has 4 Russian teams, 1 US and 1 Canadian. Hopefully, one of the Russian Juniors can come through and survive the move up to Seniors.

C&L maybe instead of either W&P or C&B.

C/L would be more likely to get in instead of C/B than instead of W/P because of the scores of those two teams at their first events. C/B need to be second in France, otherwise they will be in danger of loosing a tie-break to C/L based on total scores. W/P are still very likely to win a tie-break against C/L if they come in third with decent scores (meaning at least like what C/L got at NHK or slightly higher).
