@FSWer so many things have to happen for a partnership to happen or to work - height, skating style, skill level, coaching, finding time when you both can practice, and both being able to afford to skate.
It is great if it happens, but for so many skaters it never happens. Focusing on your own skating and becoming a strong skater on your own is important. That makes it more likely that you might find a partner, because it is harder to find a partner if you are not a good skater yourself, but it also gives you something challenging and rewarding to work on in skating even if you never find a partner.
