Is there a delay? There's no live video link and the results page hasn't updated.

Landry had a good skate for her senior international debut. She saved the landing on the triple lutz and did a triple flip double toe in the second half.

Are there pylons on the ice in that one corner?

Lisovskaja skating to Freed from Desire - inspired by the Olympics? Fun programme.

Darn Brezden popped her lutz to a double. She went for the triple toe triple toe as her last jump pass and fell :( Not the debut she was hoping for.

Two cones on the ice! That’s got to be off putting.
I really don´t like this solution, it´s very dangerous if something happens... of course the skaters are careful..

And is this situation going to stay until the ice dancers? That is going to put me off if they are going to navigate with those cones and doing lifts nearby... yikes:confused:

Chayeon Kim (69.42) was great!

USA's Michelle Lee made her international debut and landed her planned jumps (3Lz+2T, 2A, 3Lo) but slipped off her edge in her final camel spin (zero points) - currently 6th (52.43). She skated to "Villain" by Stella Jang, choreographed by Sonja Hilmer.

I like Hilmer’s choreo for Lee better than her choreo for herself this season.
OT: We'll see a new (old?) FS from Sonja at Mids.

ETA: Now running about 40 mins. behind schedule heading into the final ice resurfacing.

Made it to the rink for the last two groups of men. Attempted to buy a ticket in French and got a reply back in English. The nice lady told me it was one hour delayed. I almost turned around and said I’d come back later, but based on the skate order, I think she meant I was an hour late. That was intentional, boo 🤣. I probably could’ve walked in without paying based on the state of things. I don’t think they have too many actual spectators here.

What’s up with the cone on the ice? LOL.

Overall impressions: it's still very early in the season

The highlight for me was Ivan Shmuratko with a clean program, although the skid in his double axel takeoff is something reminiscent of Michael Weiss. It's hard to pull off comedy, and he did it well -- with a nod to the orange cone on the ice. If you watch one program, watch this one. I thought he was undermarked, probably because he was in the penultimate group. There's a case to put his free skate third or even second.

Adam Siao Him Fa landed a beautiful quad lutz in the warmup. He didn't warm up other quads aside from lutz and toe. I'm not entirely sure about this free skate. I did  at the bit where he lies down on the ice and takes a rest (with his heart beating) in the middle. The second quad toe in the program was a beauty. The +4s were well deserved. He almost wiped out on an euler.

Lukas Britschgi seemed fine in warmup, but then had pop-itis during the program. This new-agey program didn't grab me like his free skate last year did. But it's still early.

Mikhail Selevko was great, aside from a waxel and a fall on his second quad toe. Quality basic skating. I wasn't crazy about the white bondage-looking costume, though. His brother had a nightmare skate.

Among the Americans, I was surprised Klein came out ahead. Most of his jumps looked q to ur to me. He sold the program and the crowd got into it, although some of the lyrics to his free skate seemed a bit WTF to me? He was 17th at Nationals, so maybe this is his moment of glory, and good for him. He skated very respectably with no big mistakes.

Liam (LYE-um, according to the announcer  ) Kapeikis is a skater I've always liked. The quad was not hopeless; I actually thought he had it. He's had a rough time adjusting to seniors, but he's a quality skater with a really nice touch to the ice. I hope he figures it out.

This is so much closer to what Brezden is capable of. Shame about the single loop. She did some nice triples, maybe a couple of two foot landings. But she went for everything. Lots of reviews and some q but lots of green check marks!

ETA: Brezden's CTES from this event is 77.94 so she is eligible for 4CC now!
Michelle Lee's CTES is 79.66 and, like Breken, she also attained the 4CC score in her international debut for Team USA! :)

Final group:

Jyrkinen

3z-3t, perhaps a bit short on the toe, very nice display of jumping prowess, styling and program composition looks less Eteri-girl wannabe, good skate!

Piredda

3t turns out 3t, 3f, basic skating could be smoothed out, nice 2a-eu-2s sequence

Petrokina

2a-3t to open, she makes some interesting shapes in her choreography, 3z-eu-3s, step out of 3f, I like how big her skating is
