Even assuming that Hanyu is one of those three Japanese men, I don't think it is by any means a given that he and his teammates will all be in the top four.

Out of the poll choices, it'll be interesting to see if Mark, Vincent or Daniel end up peaking for the Team Event rather than Individual (right afterwards).

I think the skaters who believe deep down their best chance is the team event and not the individual are more likely to peak there. I think that is what happened to Julia L.

It happened to Mirai. I am not sure that was Julia's case because she had done well throughout the season.

She had done well and was a contender but the womens even was absolutely loaded with Kim, Asada, Kostner, her teammate Sotnikova. I think she still thought she had a better shot of gold in the team event. Not that there was no chance in the individual but it would be a lot harder.
