Hoaxes in the world of Academic Grievance Studies

When I read of these, I am reminded of a Frank & Ernest comic strip years ago, where there's an official at a Modern Art Museum talking on the phone, saying "Yes Officer, I'm not sure but I think we've been vandalized"!
