During this season, 3 JPN women skaters scored over 217. Two, Kaori Sakamoto and Mai Mihara, will compete in Senior GPF, but the top scorer Mao Shimada will compete in JGPF. Considering that Junior requirements limit the scores (Must do 3Lo & 3Ax not allowed as Axel type jump in SP, No Stsq in FP), 10-12 point TES disadvantage exist, apart from obvious PCS disadvantage (In Japan West Sectionals, Mai was granted 9+ PCS advantage over Hana Yoshida, but Hana managed to beat Mai by virtue of excellent TES). Will Mao and Hana Yoshida score higher than senior women in Senior GPF? This coming GPF is exciting as battle between skating generations is taking place between Seniors and Juniors.
