Facetime on Non-Apple Devices

Can Facetime be used on non-Apple devices? My phone is an Android phone and my computers are also non-Apple devices, using Firefox. A cousin of mine recently lost his father (stomach cancer and stroke) and I want to visit while he is sitting shiva (Jewish 7-day period of intense mourning) -- when I spoke with him about a possible virtual visit, he said Facetime and not Zoom. When googling Facetime, there were some indications that it only worked with Apple devices --- which means I can't use it. Anyone with any different ideas?

If you both have Instagram, video chat there. If you don’t have it, download it.

Google Chat with video also works as well for anyone with gmail. I also think Facebook has video options.

Yes, Facebook Messenger has a video function. Google Hangouts could work too.

WhatsApp and Skype, as well. It's so weird that WhatsApp hasn't caught on in the US, pretty much everyone I know uses it.

Google Meet sounds like a professional rebranding of Google Hangouts. We've entered the Zoom era thanks to the pandemic.

Meet and Hangout are a bit different from each other. I use Hangouts for work and Meet for social purposes. :p

One good thing about Meet is that if you subscribe to GSuite or buy a certain monthly subscription, you can get an extension that allows for breakout rooms. AFAIK, the extension works only on Edge so far.
