This is so incredibly sad. I don't even have words. I just want to express my thoughts for the victims of the attack, of Magdeburg and of Germany.

The Christmas Market tradition is such a joyous thing. What a terrible, terrible act.

He's an anti-Islam, pro-Nazi extremist who is a fan of the AfD. The same far right party that both Musk and Vance are currently championing.

He was also a psychiatrist(!), an illegal immigrant from Saudi Arabia who was granted asylum in Germany despite a criminal record in Germany, a welfare recipient, and high on drugs at the time of the attack. His motive was apparently because he believed Germany was mistreating Saudi refugees, as part of a "gestapo-like global police unit," and the government was out to kill him.

The man seems unwell. The German authorities have a lot to answer for, in ignoring four reports from Saudi Arabia intelligence officials about him and in granting him asylum despite knowing he was a dangerous criminal. Apparently another person tried to report him, but sent the report to Berlin, NJ rather than Berlin, Germany .

And how is this person a psychiatrist? Is there no licensing scheme???? Can anyone be a psychiatrist in Germany?
